Most Chinese long pips, such as friendship 755, DHS C8, along with many others have bigger pips.

some that doesn't really fit the long pip spec. but selling as long pip. such as..DHS C7, TSP curl P-2... also got bigger pips.

A very easy way to find out to see if the pip is bigger than usual. Search the ittf's equipment page, and see which long pip is considered as OUT. Because it basically means the length and pip width ratio exceed certain number = bigger pip.

I wouldn't think he is finding the long pip that are banned. more like a long pip that should passed the new regulation with no problem. Since bigger pips should be able to pass the new friction test.

Other than that, he might be looking for a pip that has better attacking ability.

Is tsp p1r more like a dead rubber? Is stiga destroyer an approved rubber?

The TSP P-1R is one of the slowest grippy long pimples that I have tried, still a lot faster than the like of some of the Dr N and Hallmark frictionless.

Yes the Stiga Destroyer is approved and will most likely pass the friction test as it's quite grippy.

I've tried TSP P1R on a Matsush*ta Pro Special and did not like it much. I felt the rubber is more dead. But I did not have good strokes at that time. I may have to put the rubber on my paddle again and try.

It's hard to use Junk rubber, LP, on a Junk defensive blade(MPS)Smile.
Try it on something else softer and slower. Ever wonder owner of MPS sell it so much? And don't try it on JSH, too fast for you or most choppers rated below US 1800.

I want the bigger long pips for more control, I think the smaller pips are harder to control,  I wanted to go back to long pips, I have not use it for a long time, I think it might be fun again, I wanted to try friendship 837, any ideas? want something with good control, and funky. thank all for the comment.

I liked MPS very much. I agree with you that the long pips can't go with all kind of blades.

Now coming to Chopper88's question regarding the long pips. Among the long pips I have tried what I liked most is Joola's octopus. I have one in http://www.TableTennisNetwork.com BUY SELL TRADE section. I have tried 837 - very cheap rubber but does not last longer. I have that also for sale in the store.

837 is not very funky. Mostly it is for dead ball flat hitting. 755 might be better in friendship.

I'm going to start carrying meteor again. That's a very funky pip with hitting ability. Also the double fish 1615 is funky but popular with attackers.
Wavestone St with Illumina 1.9r, defender1.7b

Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

I'll second DF 1615 -- cheap, effective, good for attacking w/ decent reversal.

Better check to make sure they passsed the friction test first... I'd be a lot worried about 1615... have not tried the Meteor...

Yes the blade makes a huge difference!

No, not many high level long pip players in Australia, less than a handful...

Stiga Destroyer and Double Happiness Cloud & Fog III have very large pips. Destroyer pips are broken easily. However, I like Destroyer OX very much and I don't know why C&F III always comes with sponge. I planned to make it OX myself but my friend said it would be 4X faster and became useless. Has anyone tried this before? Please suggest.
