not really, its just rubbers get worn out, like any other rubber, so nautrally it reduces in performance

Several manufacturers like JUIC and Donic addressed that question and claimed that built-in effect lasts "for the lifetime of the rubber" whatever they mean by that...

Big Slam is LOUD! Some are loud some are not so much. This feature I could care less about than just about anything, but some made it a priority to emmulate the speed glue clicking sound. If you want a loud one, and don't really care if it's fast or not Big Slam is the one to get.

No rubber is louder than Joola Energy X-tra.
And I'm sorry to say but no unglued rubber has the same performance (sound, speed, spin, control and touch) of a glued one.

I think alot of the appeal of tensors is the consistency of the glue feel. From day to day the tensor's effect doesn't change a heck of alot (at least the Donic, Andro, Joola's anyhow). From one glue job to the next you'll get some variance. This elminates said variance.
