I finally got a chance to play with my new Tibhar Samsonov Alpha (Rapid 2.0/Rapid 2.0) yesterday.  What a great feeling bat!  Its very light and quick in the hand.  Its a little slower, but has more control and feeling than my old Stiga Hans Alser (Mark V max/Mark V max) and Im able to play soft or hard with better confidence/accuracy.   I didnt get to play with it as much as I liked as my son also wanted to try it out.  He was playing so much better with it, and we were having longer and faster rallies, I decided to let him keep using it the interest of hitting balls, not chasing balls!  The good news is I have a second Samsonov Alpha I can build up for him so we can both use them.  I do want to try my Alser with Mark V 2.0 sometime to see if that helps improve its control/feeling, and of course I've yet to use the Samsonov in a tournament, but for now Im a Tibhar man!

Ok thanks for the tip.  I'm not sure I want anything faster right now, but maybe in the future.  I've yet to try an Butterfly blades, but I haven't been all that impressed with their rubbers in the past.  Good when new, but they don't seem to last very long in my experience.

i think with any blade, you'll get more control going from max rubber to 2.0...

Good to hear.  I would like to try your Rapid rubber sometime, to see how different it is from my Rapid DTecS.
