Skyline Tg series are DHS products. I did try both Skylines and used H3 Blue Sponge (from haggisv). That H3 was better than both Skylines. H3 reacted better to glue and CTE, more springy, easier to play with. Only Skyline's topheet looked better. I don't know about the standard H3 though.

TG3 is to H2, TG2 is to H3, skylines are less heavier and a bit bouncier with better sponge but the hurricanes r still faster

You can only say a lot of pros use it because so many are chinese. they must be forced to use it or something because there is not one chinese world class player i know of don't use a DHS product on their forehand.

Wang Hao - SKyline/h2 not sure
Wang Liqin - H2
Ma Lin - tg2
Chen Qi - h2/3
Hao Shuai - h2/3
Ma Long - h2/3
Qiu YiKe - h2/3

I also beleive that new chinese national player Li Ping is using h2/3

Either the rubbers they are using are simply perfect for their games or they are made to use it...

BTW skyline is very spinny but its hard as a rock, is excellent with speed glue because the sponge being softened makes up for huge potential spin capabilities

skyline is great with speed glue, very good speed and spin. I like it better than H3 due to it being lighter. Skyline tg3 reacts much better to speed glue than H3 did for me (not blue sponge).

Anyone tried H3 and Skyline without speedglue and how do they compare?

Is that because the sponge is so hard, and like only voc glues truly penetrate the sponge and make it softer?

I had used H3 (39 degree) for nearly two years before switching to using Skyline 2 (also 39 degree) recently.  I use the so called long-life speed glue, usually once every 7 to 10 days.  I find Skyline is softer and has better control.  Its spin is better that H3, but slower than H3.  I am basically a looper. Therefore, I like Skyline 2 better than H3.

I think both H3 and Skyline TG3 are just too slow without speed glue, the softening effect of the speed glue adds whole new dimensions of spin and power. I haven't tried with non-voc speed glue.
