I need help in Choosing a new backhand rubber. Should I buy a butterfly sriver Fx or Nittaku Hammond ?Or what other rubber do you suggest. I do not want to buy too expensive rubbers thats why I choose Sriver fx or Hammond. I am have been playing for 5 years already.

how do you play and what do you use your back hand for.  do you have a stronger fh or bh?  do you serve bh?

What blade are you using and what are you currently using on your backhand?

As FFX-me says, what type of game do you play?

I serve with my fh. My fh is stronger than my bh. I normally control/block with my backhand and also loops.

Get Sriver FX for controlled loops, it's softer and it will allow you to block faster

Use sp on bh its awesome although it will screw up your strokes a bit but its like a magical rubber that puts more power than inverted and always puts it on the table, excelent for aggressive blocks if there is such a thing, blocking offensively.  BTW I used to use sriver fx on bh and didnt like it, its made for speed glue so if you dont plan on gluing dont bother

i just bought a hammond, and find that it is more bouncey then Sriver El.
thus i prefer to EL, as i can loop the ball, instead of hav pushing in BH

I use quattro 1.8 (on an all around blade).  Not very fast but good control.  I can block spiny loop shots that often go long with my previous rubbers (sriver and MarkV M2 2.0).  Looping is also very controlled, but I have to swing fast to put some speed and spin on the ball.  Best of all, it is a pretty cheap rubber.

I use LKT Torrent black, it's slightly tacky and not very sensitive to the incoming spin, just the way I like it.
I have a sheet of inspirit quattro, but is from the first batches and even if is marked 39 is too hard for bh in my opinion, I prefer it on the fh. Maybe a softer version is more suitable for bh. It's a very durable rubber, especially if you clean it after each session.

okay if you stick with normal inverted and your emphasis is to block, punch and push and the odd loop go with chinese best choice would be a traditional one.
Going with sriver el or hammand would mean that taking on a different game. both winged looper. If i had to choose for this type of game strategy i would definately use the sriver el since its a little slower than the hammand.

Sriver EL unglued is very well all-rounded. I see no other rubber being able to match it in terms of diversity (except Mark V, which is kinda a clone of the Sriver anyway).

you probably can't go wrong with quattro 2.0, or cj8000 on 2.0 quattro sponge.

you can get both of those rubbers for the same price as 1 sriver from colestt.com :D you gotta e-mail him with the sponge hardness, i suggest 42 or 40 degree
Stiga OC CR - no wrb
FH: Globe 999t/Quattro 2.0
BH: Sriver L 1.9
