I got one 3 weeks ago and I put H2 for FH and G555 for BH. it's light and yes the feel is soft you can feel it but if you hit the ball outside the sweetspot the blade sounds like cracking. Close to table play is good but loop from 4-5 feet isn't great may be I have to put Bryce for FH or something fast.
Anyway if you're using hard feel paddle and fast I wouldn't recommend this X5 unless you wanna change

It's my main blade and I really like it. I play close to the table with loops and blocks mainly and I don't seem to have the same sensation of the blade cracking. I'm using CTE tuned H3 and Plasma 430 max for BH. I've made myself try my Korbel a couple of times in the last few months since that's supposed to be one of the best loopers blades, but I still like the X5. Solid feel, good touch, fast enough, and not too heavy. ST handle for me.

I have two of these blades. 81 and 83 grams with anatomic handle. Exellent control/speed ratio. I use it with Sriver/Sriver EL, EL with 1.9-2.1 seems to work best. MAX makes the blade too head-heavy for my liking.

Has good soft feeling on the table on short play still providing nice kick when I drive ball harder from mid distance.

Just make sure that you treat the edges before use and use edge tape. The balsa core is VERY fragile.

I used this with Inspirit Quattro on FH 2mm and Galaxy Venus 2mm on BH

The heaviness of the rubbers  made the bat head heavy but had nice power and decent touch, not as much dwell time as my Jonyer H so for me not as good for loops although thats probably due to the carbon and partly the rubber.  Id recommend it with light  medium sponge rubbers

My club friend buy it and for 2 days he sell it, because it has hard feel without speed and a poor control for light off blade compare to its speed. If you want good all+/off- blade buy Stiga or Yasaka blade!

Butterfly is nothing compare to Stiga/ Yasaka all wood blades except for original Japan Korbel off, and original Primorac off- blade! But these two brands are nothing compare to Butterfly when we talk about composite blades (carbon, kevlar, arylate, ...)! Butterfly and Xiom are the lords of the world of the composite table tennis blades!

its an offensive blade with soft feeling. Good blade you should try some Srivers on it.

I completely disagree, definitely not hard feeling but soft!
