I recently bought a offensive Oc Cr master handle, I use Hurricane 3 on my forehand. I find that it does not have the much power for smashing and spin. Probably I did not glue the bat regularly?I find not very use to using the blade. However I find it better than my previuos blade in blocking the ball. Can anyone recommend a good solid wood blade?PLease help me out. Thanks so much for your help!

If you like Stiga blades what about a clipper classic or optimum sync? They are both faster than the offensive classic CR. You can also try the Joola Sting which is similar to the Stiga Clipper Classic and slightly cheaper.

Nobody recommending Violin ? I am happy with my Violin C-pen, and I believe the SH version is also popular.

Stiga Optimum Sync would be a great choice. Faster than Offensive CR, and even better for blocking. Hard to go wrong with that blade, and I have one to sell btw (Anatomic, with 2 almost new rubbers, 100$). In the same line you have the Optimum PLUS, which is basically a Stiga Offensive, but with Crysal Technology.
There's a lot of good Allwood Blade. Donic Waldner Dicon and Gatien EXTRA 3D are good ones. Compared together, Dicon is better for blocking and smashing, but Gatien is trully exceptionnal for looping.
The blade you have is not a fast one, so it will be easy to find something faster.

You can never go wrong with a hinoki 1-ply blade. All wood, good feeling and touch, fast. Good for loops, blocking, countering, flipping, serving, smashing. Cant beat that all from one blade.

OC CR is a very nice blade. You can get faster rubbers or tune more.

Yeah, I agree that without gluing up, H3 is mega slow on OC CR, especially on smashes. clipper classic or p700 would be noticeably faster

Just today I played Clipper WRB ST of my kid's cousin with IQ 35d 2.0 FH and LKT XP Pro 2.0 BH, it's just so good but a bit bouncy tho'.

Clipper/Clipper CR would be good choices.. Mabye some of the Avalox blades too, but I don't really know much about them.. The optimum plus seems to be popular too.

how about going to a Balsa wood blade? Chinese rubbers always feel good on them.

Look, it's simple - change the rubbers. I have played blades like this including Nittaku H-WL (Japanese-Chinese clone of your Stiga Off CR) with Hurricanes. They are just too thick and hard to be used on such a blade. I am guessing you are using 2.2.
Put something softer, and perhaps lighter on the same blade and you will see the difference immediately. Suggestion: 729 Cream MRS 2.0 on FH, and Sriver EL or even FX or Mark V 30 on your BH (if you want a cheaper version, get Dawei Inspirit 2.0 or Galaxy Venus 2.0 - don't get the MAX thickness versions). DI or DIQ can be used on FH as well - I would even recommend 1.8 if you want more control. |

Can I stick to my Hurricane 3 2.2mm rubber if I glue regularly?Which rubber should I use for my backhand hammond/hammond pro alpha/sriver fx/sriver el 2.0mm/2.1mm ?

Only if you are a physical player. As I said, H3 2.2 can have a muffling effect on your strokes, so unless you are really putting some extra effort in your shots use something else. Also, adding speedglue all the time only adds to the overall weight of the combo. As for BH, all the options you are suggesting sound pretty good (I would go with Hammond Pro Alpha or with Sriver FX especially if you like quick block/counterdrive on your backhand). |

I highly recommend the Timo Boll Spirit. I am currently using this blade and am very content. It is quite fast but controllable. As far as the feel, I'd say it's not that bad. It doesn't have the feel of an all wood blade but with little time I got used to it. A great blade for offensive looping game!

M.Maze is a very nice blade!!!.. .. i recently got it and has improved my game. my loop drives are so much powerful than previous setup, but still has very good control. highly recommend it..!!

For economical is Korbel ST, so comfortable to grip, better than FL version.
If you like more expensive one Either Violin or Acoustic. They're both masterpiece of all wood blades.

Would you recommend me to use Hammond Pro alpha instead of Sriver El and Sriver Fx? What is the differences between them. Should I buy 2.2mm Hammond pro alpha or the 2.0mm?I cannot make up my mind to buy whether Sriver El or HPA. Is Hammond X better than HPa and sriver El?
