I had them side-by-side for about a week. I never hit with them, but my impression was that the Kokutaku was a higher quality craftsmanship.

Sorry Tommy, I don't understand. You have them side by side but you never had a hit with them. Can you explain it please ? I am also curious which Nittaku and which Kokutaku you are referring to.

My Nittaku is called Cho Tokusen A.
My Kokutaku 10 mm is Cho Super Cho Tokusen.
If you want speed, you have to go for Kokutaku 10 mm, I believe speed is important for offensive play.
When I change from Kokutaku 10 mm to Cho Tokusen A, I immediately sense the slower speed.

that's why a Kokutaku Super Cho Tokusen >9mm but <10mm comes in. It fits right in between. Slightly more powerful than that Nittaku Excellent A but slower or less powerful than that Koku Cho Super Cho 10mm. Personally, 10mm of any jpens is just a tad too handful n bulky for me.

I had the Nittaku Cho Tokusen and Kokutaku Cho Tokusen in similar weight laying on my ping pong table, naked, together for about a week trying to decide which to keep and which to sell. I did not put any rubbers on them. I just looked closely at them and held them in my hand, trying to decide.

I thought the Kokutaku Cho Tokusen was a higher quality, but I do not know how they hit.

BTW, I also had the Darker on that table so it was a threesome. The Darker was nice too.

3 of them beauties lying around naked, smelling oh so nice and you weren't tempted to use your rubbers on them...Clap

Too late my friend.
The only one left is the Koku at 9.25mm.
I'm surprised it hasn't sold . . . oh wait . . . it did sell. I have it packed and ready to go. I don't have any. :-(. Well, this is just another excuse for me to buy more stuff. LOL
