I lost one of the adhesive films that I had for my rubbers (they were really worn and dirty anyway).

I cut out part of a ziplock bag in the shape of my paddle and it sticks great and the material is awsome.  It's so much cheaper, I recommend ziplock bags!!!!!!!!!!  Hug

Cool idea!
I heard someone say they use shower curtains and I used transparency films for overhead projectors, but then I got snobbish and ordered a few pre-made from Eacheng.

You know what I wanna try that might work... but i can't do it now cause i don't have a ziplock...

Cut a hole at the bottom of the ziplock bag to slip the handle through, then unzip, drop blade in bag and zip. Voila, awesome protection and easy to take on and off, and never have to lose one of your sheets!

Just get large ziploc bags large enough to put a whole blade in.  I put all my rubber sheets in ziploc bags.  I like to use the freezer bags because they are thicker and a bit larger than normal ones.

Yes, get the heavy duty ones with the "zipper"  they are thicker and easier to open.

Lol, yeah that would work too. But it's slightly less cool.

I used to use the plastic bags that you get at the fruit market, they were great to use cause they are very thin, plus it's free!!!!

Overheads are also great to use as well

Yea you can use pretty much anything, but the 1 dollar ones are much nicer than regular transparency.

OK, really - how much credit do you need for using a ziploc bag.  My clubmates have been doing this for years.  It's a freakin plastic bag Tongue

........Half of you people are acting like you think that I want credit or something?  I didn't see zpinz topic about ziploc bags, so I'm sorry if I wasted your time...!  I was just sharing my idea with everyone to try and save some hastle and money.

It's not like a came on here saying I have an idea that's all mine and totally original.

I don't know if this is an "original" idea or not, but here another idea.

I've been playing with many type of sticky glues to find a cheap alternative to non-VOC watered base glues.   I found this supper sticky glue.  I don't remember the name but it says on the label it dries sticky and you can peel and re-stick pictures, notes, ... many times.  Spray this on a piece of overhead projector transparent film, let it dries and you "may" have something very similar to the $1.xx rubber protector sheets.  I did some test last night and it seems to work.  I can remove and restick  the film and the rubber looks clean.  I leave it on and wait a few days to check if it'll damages the rubber or not.  If someone already to this and know the result, let me know.

I use the zip-lock bag after the gluing the rubber put the hole racket in the bag and close it.That way glue effect last a long time.Zip-lock can slow down the evaporation process.

lol, I used to use a freezer bag as a case to protect the rubbers, similar idea.  I'm sure everyone has done something similar.  Saran wrap works best.

No credit given.  We're just people posting ideas and comments on table tennis.  Sometimes you will get some repeats.  But for the record, (even though you don't care), I was not trying to take credit for anything, because I know that pretty much everything I can think of has already been thought of.
