Same, apart from that last part, lol, I think a site I was on earlier quoted me $60 (30 for shipping) but I didn't wanna.  Once again does anyone know a site that delivers to the UK and accepts payment by paypal?

LeeMc - I live in the UK and ordered direct. The DVD arrived in about 4 days and plays in my laptop (haven't tried it in DVD player).

Superb DVD - the company who made it deserve every dollar they get back on it.

Ah this brings back great memories. I love how every hot DVD release thread follows a specific format:

Topic: <TT DVD Thread>

- "Is it good?"
- "Yes"
- "Can you upload"
- "No"
- "It is wrong to upload"
- "No it is not"

// begin loop
while(people are interested in thread) {
    Downloading is Evil;
    Downloading is Cool!;
}

I asked Diego how access to footage + athlete consent is obtained; it is indeed via a blanket agreement giving filming rights to match + training activity.  So the players are compensated via this mechanism.

And they will say?? LOL
If they pay each player, the dvd price will be much much more expensive..
For example a football player in a big club will earn a percentage of a shirt, a mug, or anything with their name on it (image rights)
and if they are 30 players on that dvd, let's say each player get $1 per dvd, and the producer get none? $1 for exposing your serve will be very cheap don't you think? considering that a potential opponent might study the dvd and they can get beaten because of it?
Common sense.. don't need to ask..

What about those players efforts and rights?
Each player dedicated more efforts and time in each serve then the people in making the DVD. They have copyright for their serve. And this people they stole their serves, the serves they have been working on and perfect all their lives, for what? making profits for themselves..
Do they have the players permission? Do they pay the players they put on their dvd..
This people steal too, don't forget that..
If i were the player on that DVD, and they don't ask permission from me to put my serve on that DVD, for sure I'll sue them..

You are the one who is rude here, accusing the people who produced this DVD (Alpha Productions, in case your common sense failed to tell you that) didn't obtain the permission from the players and sell the DVD commercially.

I am just concerned about the latest trend in this forum.  People posting something accusing vendors/sellers without much proof at all.  Regardless of the outcome of the discussion, the accused are smeared already.

Yeah, it's a bad day.  The tax deadline is getting me.  Embarrassed

Hey, i am not asking this vid for free.. i am only asking whether or not the footage obtained legally..

@ Chronos, DalamChops, theman
Yes you cannot reproduce their serve, but it will still hurt you if your opponent knows about your serves.. that's why coaches/official of every team have a video with them and try to film other teams play, including their serves..
If you are going to come up against a player (of your rank) and you have watched them on vid, at the very least you have a good knowledge of what's coming and how to handle them.. that's advantage in my book.
it might not worth a lot for us, amateurs, but for professional.. it's worth a lot..

@theman
Schlager might not beat Ma Lin even if he watch Ma Lin's vids.. it's something call class, talent, and ability.. Schlager needs to be at his best and Ma Lin having a bad day to win..
use not fictional scenarios in a discussion, it's hard to discuss..

@Chronos
Chronos: 'I asked Diego how access to footage + athlete consent is obtained; it is indeed via a blanket agreement giving filming rights to match + training activity.  So the players are compensated via this mechanism. '
Thank you for the information.. that settles it.. it's a small part of a bigger match broadcast.. now that make sense..

@GenomicKnights
What trend are you talking about, fyi: i am not accusing, but asking whether or not they obtain permission from the players involved in the dvd.
I am sure some of the players don't even know that diego 'was' making a dvd on their serves. Apparently they don't negotiate with the players, so in a way i was right.
But since Chronos said they negotiated trough match organizers, i can see another way of doing things (since i believe they should be dealing with the player's, but apparently the organizers is the one compensating and dealing for the players). And that settles it.
You are not contributing to the discussion. Rather making it a slating event out of it.. if you have your thoughts then lay it on a post and we'll discuss it..

I like Chronos way of doing things.. salute to you, man..

You are just being argumentative.  Just look back on what you have posted.  You accused the people who produced this DVD for stealing "serves" from Pro players and filming them without permissions.

You also gave some twisted example with false logic to support your obviously flawed conclusion and labeled it as "common sense."

I contribute to this thread my own way, by defending the wrongly accused and identifying the false statements.  I will not even bother to comment on your "contributions."  Let your posts on this thread speak for you.

Need I say more?

Yeah but you're selling for 27 bucks not including shipping. TTP has it for 29.99 and if anyone has FBP points they get 25% off that until the end of April.

After seeing it (and possible copying it), then selling with couple dollar less. It could be a good way to obtain the nice DVD. I am not sure if it could be considered as pirate.Confused
