Hi guys. For those of us who like to play with chinese rubbers: what can we do after the glue/tuners ban? Theres plenty of glue effect rubbers from butterfly, andro, joola etc... but as far as I know no chinese company has made a move yet (DHS, Friendship...) I would like to stop gluing as soon as possible. Is there going to be any substitute for, lets say H3 or other chinese style rubber? I want to know for two reasons, its what i play best with, and don't want to spend 50$ or more on each rubber. Thanks a lot.

Thanks. I really want to try Inspirit quattro, but i didn't know you can get the quattro sponge and put it under any topsheet. Does it really have speed glue feel? That would be cool. I was thinking if DHS or Friendship would release "tuned" versions of their rubbers like butterfly is doing. That Xuxaofa rubbers sound interesting, where can i get some info?

'Considering the sealed package I think biotech is something like CO2 tuning.

The Friendship 729 Higher Transcend is a tension rubber
Also I heard the LKT torrent has a built in speed effect. You will have to wait a while but Friendship will bring out more and stable built in glue effect rubbers. |

Transcend sponge is a tension sponge and springier than traditional Chinese sponge, but it is not a glue effect rubber. I used transcend and it needs speed glue if you are a speed gluer.
XuShaoFa has LSZ and LSZ II which are also tensioned sponge Chinese rubbers. I like this sponge better than the 729 Transcend sponge but I also speed glue these. LSZ II is my current rubber and I like it a lot but I tune it.
I am extremely interested in bbkon's comments about a possible new XuShaoFa with built-in speed glue feel.

I bought a pair of Xu Shao Fa LSZ II based on JRDallas reviews.
Before gluing them on the blade I put a few layers of speed glue and leave them for a day to shrink back to the original size. The glue effect lasted for about a week, I mean they were soft and looping against backspin was easy. The crack sound when glued is loud, too loud for my taste. The sponge used is manufactured by GP, just like Cole said in another thread. Not sure if is the same with the one that eacheng is selling it. The black sheet, even is marked with a hardness bigger than the red one, is softer than the red sheet. I would say that are pretty good rubbers for the money, I'll see how long they last. |
