Actually, it has been some time since dhs came out with a new rubber; wasn't the skyline series their latest?

Seems that every other company out there is in a big rush to get new and improved tensors/hightension stuff out on the market but dhs is just biding their time. Maybe they know something we don't, or maybe they have invested all this time in the development of a new super rubber that will make everything else obsolete, or maybe they simply don't care and will continue to make things the way they are until people stop buying their stuff. The world may never know.

Dawei has upgraded their rubber, they have a sponsor version of super 2008 which is currently tendering for HK TEAM. The sponge is tension but look pretty similar to h3 sponge., topsheet is as tacky as h3, light, low angle similar to h2 but the speed is definately faster than h3.

Awesome, thanks for the info. So it would seem developing a new super rubber was the right answer Wink

There're only few reviews and comparison between hurricane and skyline, but it seems that hurricane is still more popular...

Anyway do u guys really feel the differences between the hurricane and skyline series?

the new blade supposedly increases the hand feeling so that without speed glue, the 'touch' will still be there. but heard the price will be something like hurricane king's

At the moment, it is hard to believe that DHS will come up with something acceptable for the beginning of the next season. The few reports on the new sponge #19  make it clear that it works acceptably only when combined with the so  called "intensifier".  But boosters, tuners and intensifiers are going to be illegal , as well.

I don't want  to be misunderstood. I play my self with speed glued skyline, and find it is fine. Actually I find it  "irreplaceable".   But the fact remains that at this time, the material for the next season has to be already decided, in order to prepare appropriately.

In conclusion, the lack of a solution from DHS is forcing many players to adopt alternative rubbers. And DHS can blame only it self for that.
