I have used Ysaka Xtend for about six weeks now.
I love this rubber when I first put it on the racket, but, it shows some serious degradation after two weeks, and...  is flat out HORRIBLE after 3 weeks!

The top sheet dies off very quickly!  Easy to chip - but, and this is my main concern, it beocmes much harder to grip the ball!!!

Do you speed glue?  I had one that I speed glued, it worn out quite fast.  But I am using another without glue for 4 weeks, 3-4 sessions a week, 2 hours each sesstion, and use it to practice with robot also, it's still pretty new.  Well... maybe it just different climate or way to protect it.

I found that it's very fragile aswell, I owned a Xtend HS, and it does chip away too easy for my liking

Wingman:  When I say it lasts 2-3 weeks...  I play about 10 hours per week - but, if I play with very hard hitters (we broke 3 Nittaku 3* balls in our last 3 hour session) the rubber feels like it's falling apart, and plays horrible after that...  the balls start to feel like they're slipping against the topsheet - grip is mostly gone Ouch  After that - it becomes very inconsistent and you have to change your stroke to lift/loop underspin balls...

I guess I'm trying to say that it's not durable...  (which really means it's TOO WIMPY) Smile

Got it.  Anyhow, I am thinking about changing my Xtend 2.0 blk to Juic 999 nano around next week.  Actually, the reason I get the Xtend because I think it's somewhat tacky, speed glue built in and soft.  I know that 999 Nano is more tacky, but not sure about the rest, any thought?

Wingman:  I had tried the Juic 999s two years ago - never tried the nano...  They are a little too sticky for me on the backhand which makes them a little harder to return serve...

The Xtend does feel great for the first few sessions - it was perfect - too bad it doesn't last.

Will be trying the JO Silver and the Roxon soft and see what happens.

I hope after all this is done and we settle on something that they don't change the rules again...  too much of a hassle and too expensive!

I tried Bes' xtend and I didn't think it had any sort of speed glue feel or sound whatsoever. In fact, I still haven't tried a rubber that did except for desto F2/3. And the f2 I tried was extremely broken in.

I tried (again bes') andro plasma and it did click a little if you went straight into the ball. But nothing like desto.

Yeah - especially Desto F3 Bigslam..... Huge sound and good feel.  Decent durability for a soft pre-glued rubber.
