I'm really glad its working out for you.  The little knob in the middle helps out a lot doesn't it?

It reminds me of a batcase I made last year, altough it doesn't work that great as a clicky press.

I havne not glued on rubbers yet...but soon I will.  Just wondering how do you know if your putting even pressure on the glued up blade with that press?

Also, how much pressure do you actually need?  Seems like if you use too much pressure..you compress the foam and glue gets to points it shouldnt...making the foam not uniform or possibly stiffer from the glue being pushed through the exterior contact point.

Thanks for any info, I will be glueing up a couple blades soon.  Id appreciate any help on this matter.

I'm sure Clicky works well for some people, but IMO if you are going to buy one . . . buy one from THEMANFZ1. Ultimate Press is better made and made by one of our own peeps.

I'm slightly dissatisfied with my Clicky Press because I can't use two plies of wood on the top side when I try to glue down anything to my thick-ass Rorin.  The stupid thin sheet of wood on the primary pressing side will bend, not clamping down the center adequately, and the bolts aren't long enough for me to fit on the extra wood sheet to give it added stability.

The thin piece of wood in the Clicky Press is only in there for when you use thin blades or rubber without sponge.  Just unscrew the knobs and take it out.  I have no problem with thick 1 ply blades and 2 sheets of rubber.

That said, there's nothing magical about the Clicky Press, my coach made a better one himself.  The one featured here looks good and very sturdy.

I would have bought the FZ-press immediately but I already have Clicky and it's more or less enough for my needs... although I should repeat again that if you have a 9.5 or 10 mm 1-ply with 2 mm sponge rubbers on both sides then Clicky will not accomodate its thickness... just .5 mm less and you would be able to push it in... my WR-9 won't fit but I simply use a ton of heavy books.

Its available now.  Well actually, I have enough materials for a few more orders but will have to order more knobs, takes about 1 week to get them.

Very nice case Master pong.  If you are using it as a press simply make a thicker top and I think you will be ok.

I have 2 presses made and ready for shipping.  Don't delay or you may miss this round of presses and have to wait for the next round.  Don't delay get yours now, they works great!  Just ask those that have one.

Won't presses be obsolete once speed gluing and tuning become illegal?

Only if you buy pre-made bats.  I don't speed glue and I use my press quite a bit trying out new rubbers or blades.  And I'm not even close to being an EJ, ask Tommy or Chronos how much they use their press they are EJ supremes.
