Hi :)

Does anyone have any suggestions/insight as to good tensor partners for a Timo Boll Spirit blade?

I've previously used this blade with Bryce FX FH / Sriver L BH. I love how Bryce FX rubbers play when glued up. How do the Bryce Tensors play?

I currently play with Platin Soft MAX FH / Big Slam MAX BH on a BTY Kiso Hinoki tree and i'm loving the control it gives me, but i want to experiment with tensors on my carbon blade.

Any thoughts?

Energy green power one of the earlier tensors works quite well on the TBS for my backhand

there are no bryce tensors by the way

Sonex JP Gold plays like Bryce FX lightly glued, low throw, good sound and quite spinny
mizutani jun
tenergy
bryce speed fx
Will be trying Zeta soon

Generally all the tensor like Donic F seties, Palio Macro Pro, Andro Plasma series are quite similar, greate sound and good feel. There is no obvious different but you just need to choose speed of the rubber you like.

The only problem is that the top sheet just crack easily, if I can have "custom" made rubber, I would choose sriver top sheet + tensor sponge :-)

Bryce Speed works great with TBS unglued, even though it's not a tensor.

I have only tried Joola Energy on it, and it was horrible!

This is a little off topic, what is it that makes a tensor a tensor, is bryce speed just a ridiculously fast rubber???

thanks

A tensor is a rubber that incorporates the speed glue effect, so Bryce Speed is just a ridiculously fast rubber, not a tensor.

"Tensor" is a technology of ESN (a German rubber producer for many brands). Desto, Plasma, Roxon, Dtecs, Xtend, Coppa JO, Omega, Nimbus etc. series of rubbers are all produced by ESN and are Tensors. All have similiar glue feel, lowish topsheet grip, lowish durability and mostly depend on mechanical spin.

Thanks for your responses. Seems there's divided oppinions on the matter. First of all i'll try moving Platin Soft MAX / Big Slam MAX onto it and see where it takes me.
