Really came to terms with this rubber in the last few months, but at $37 a pop, I'm looking for a cheaper option.  I play 2x a week 2-3hr each, and train on the robot daily 30min to an hour.  What's something that plays similar but w/out the high price tag?  Thanks,

Someone told me that the sinus alpha (thibar) is exactly the same as the sonex JP gold.

It's not that the rubber is special.  I don't really keep up with the market, but I think SG is among the cheapest tensor rubbers.  So it will be hard to find a cheaper alternative.

the sinus alpha seems to be even more expensive, and I haven't found a US based store that sells it.  I guess it's the new wave of rubbers, and I'll just have to wait a bit till something comparable and cheaper comes along.  I've been hitting w/ the Reactor Thunder (tensor rubber), though not as nearly as fast as the SG and lack the sound, it does hit quite well for $6 a pop.  I guess I'll stick w/ that.
