Pryde is great! Isn't too soft to make it unplayable, actually fairly hard for a tensor(which is a good thing). VERY durable, very spinny! It's a joy to play with I'd highly recommend it.

haha, you are probably right! However, hopefully this new combo I have on the way will be the winner for atleast 4-5 months or so! Now that college season is started, i really need to find something and stick with it rather than to alwasy be adjusting.

Gosh I hate to say it but I have atleast a little bit of EJ syndrome in me now!

sounds like I need to give Pryde a try.  Gosh, it's almost half the price of Tenergy.

I have Donic Platin Soft on both sides and I really like it. I know that is softer than Nimbus Soft and spinier.
Why I like this rubber:
- the control is much better than anything I used before, I can place the ball on corners or at extreme angles
- I can spin the ball easier (even is not as much as with some Chinese rubbers) and is not too sensitive to the incoming spin
- is forgiving, I don't have to hit the ball almost perfect to produce a good shot

I'm not yet used to do pushes right, the ball usually fly over the table, but I'll adapt to this in time.

One thing I noticed since I switched to Platin is the diminished need to search for a better rubber and focusing more on my technique.

Let's not forget that are expensive.

I have heard nothing but good things about Pryde, would love to try it, now that lildudejds mentions the rubber is softer that tenergy, that make s me even more interested. Would like to know how it compares with roxon 450

Platin soft feels about as soft as Roxon 450, Roxon 450 spins a little better.

I have it on my Backhand. It seem to be a little bit more Durable than the Roxon 450

pryde is a touch harder than platin soft. And roxon 450 felt really soft to me, too soft even. Pryde felt about perfect hardness I would try it out for sure! The price is really low too! get it from megaspin.net

pryde and platin are quite similar, maybe pryde is slightly softer but both are still about medium hardness.

very easy to put a lot of speed and spin on the ball, nice sound for being such a consistent rubber, also more durable than other tensors:D

Any idea what density Pryde is? How "medium" is it compared to like an EGP (supposed to be 42.5 while Roxon is around 30)?

yee i think its about 45, at least i would guess that...perfect. soft enough to give sound and feeling and hard enough to be more consistent than other tensors. i think there will also be 2 softer versions, at least pryde 30 is already released.

Tenergy 05 is better from all this rubbers together! Butterfly make excellent rubber( high speed, high spin, high control)! Best rubber for loopers!

master of loops: have you tried pryde?Wink if so, how would you compare to tenergy 05, is it heavier or lighter? And which one is more dense? (harder)

I havent tried Pryde yet, but I think its lighter then Tenergy and its also softer then Tenergy. Pryde probably has higher speed then tenergy, but less spin and less control! I think Pryde is smillar to BTY Bryce speed, so its not better then BTY Tenergy 05 for my looping style.

Pryde 2.0 mm is good but if u need more spin and speed try max its like 2.4 or something not sure.

Pryde is lighter than Tenergy and little softer too. I tried bryce a long time ago its quite heavy and hard too. I think tenergy is almost like bryce but betterWink
