Palio has some very interesting offerings these days.

I know cj8000 and hk1997.  cj8000 is a grippy inverted topsheet, whereas hk1997 is tacky, similar to hurricane 3.  Not sure about Hadou.

Also want to mention palio ak47 - this rubber is an extremely fast and spinny, high throw inverted rubber - no tack.  Marked 'made in Japan' and lives up to it quality wise.  I had trouble controlling this rubber which is a first for any chinese rubber I've tried - its just too fast.

Chronos, did you use speed glue on your Palio AK47? I hope you didn't, coz it'll be extremely fast. I use water-based glue (Xiom I-Bond) to glue that rubber, and applied it one time only. The rubber is still fast, but not as fast when speed glued. Also, this rubber is not suitable for fast blades (i.e. carbon blades). Currently, I've placed the rubber on the forehand of my Dr Neubauer Combination Effect and Butterfly Andrzej Grubba, and it works well. I did try the rubber on my Butterfly Boll TriCarbon, but it is too fast and a little hard to control.

I've got some soft sponge CJ 8000's they are awesome, I can get just as much spin off these on a Galaxy T-10 (which is a medium fast balsa) as any other looping rubber but I'd really love to try them with a harder sponge one day

Hi there

Thanks for all your answers and suggestions, but the question is still, where is the difference between all the different versions? Eacheng.net offers several different versions of each rubber. So im confused a little bit...!

The reason for that is, it allows palio to market several different rubbers under one topsheet...meaning only one ittf fee.
Wavestone St with Illumina 1.9r, defender1.7b

Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

cj8000 is grippy?  i have a pair on a palio T15 blade (unused setup) and it seems just under the tackiness of my H3p.  no comarison between that and the bryce setup i'm using now.

Yes, thats exactly what i mean! Is the only difference in the kind of sponge, or are there other differences?

i have been playing the last couple of days with the palio cj8000 looping tension version on the backhand, it feels really nice, i have been a speed gluer for awhile and have been using this in 2.2 unglued, it feels playable, i am interested in the newer biotech version, hopefully just a tad more glue feel, the cj8000 topsheet is great for the backhand at a price that you can't really beat
