I heard from our Butterfly local dealer that one from upcoming rubbers (Sriver G3, Tenergy 25, Tenergy 65) would have blue sponge! That would be funny to see, if he not lieing me!

I got a chance to try Tenergy 64 and I liked it better than Tenergy 05 (the BH side was 05).  I can't recall if the 64 was black or red (two different blades both with 64 and 05) but I know neither blade had a blue sponge.

I liked the 64 better than 05 as it seemed to have less dwell and felt firmer.

it has to do with the two color rule.

it has to do with the red topsheets being translucent, and picking up the blue color (and darkening).

this is why you only see orange, cream, white or yellow sponges under red.

it is possible to put a black sponge under a black topsheet (because the black topsheet is opaque).

I dont switch eqp often! I do this when I start playing 5 years ago, and when I found perfect combo for me (Avalox P500 + Bryce FX + ton of speed glue) ittf banned spedd glue. I play with this combo for 1 year, and I then use Maze OFF + Bryce speeed FX + optimizer, and guess what, ittf banned boosters! Now  I am Angry and I will use most expencive combo for new TT era which use my favourite player (Mizutani), and I will use it forever!

the joola samba n-tech has a blue sponge under the red rubber i think it depends on the shade of the blue sponge being not too dark
