Oops did I say Tensor?
What does that mean?

Tensor:

Definition: In table tennis, tensor rubber is the common name used by players for any table tennis rubber that has the topsheet stretched and placed under tension before it is glued to the sponge. This tension tends to cause the rubber to curl inwards with the sponge on the outside, doming the rubber sheet.

Tell me again... Butterfly does not have any tensor rubber? Isn't Tenergy Tensor rubber? Maybe I'm wrong... please tell me.Smile

Yes, you're wrong. Tensor is a name for some rubbers made at the ESN factory in Germany.

And if you read what you're posting, before you posted it, you'll see that Tenergy doesn't fit the description.

He's right, I've used speed glue to attach both my Roxon 450 and my Roxon 500 to my blade and it worked perfectly (the rubber didn't even expand at all). I don't see any reason it shouldn't be exactly the same with the Tenergy

Not technically, but they all go under the category of "no speed glue necessary" rubbers.

what i dont understand is that your blah blah enough to speed glue but you blah blah enough to not know if its safe for your rubber or not. same effects would happen if the characteristics are similar. in this case allmost identical except one rubber is more expensive than the other. has speed glue ever ruin your rubber before? No but maybe reduce its life span/durability. it most likely will have same results with tenergy.

i've not tried Tenergy yet, but previous standard edition Butterfly high-tension offerings like bryce and sriver g2 all require speedglue to achieve their full potential. lots of glue in fact.

Yeah, but this is completely different. Tenergy isn't supposed to be used with glue, it doesn't need it.

BUT, that is beside the point because HE ISN'T GOING FOR A SPEEDGLUE EFFECT HE JUST WANTS TO STICK THE DANG RUBBER ON THE BLADE!!!

I've found that if you use a booster, such as CTE with tenergy or other such 'speedglue effect' rubbers and after you glue the rubber to the blade, let it settle for about 2 days. The rubber attains a fantastic boost in effect. So much so it just brings soo much more enjoyment to the sport.

I never speed glued my tenergy however, only boosted with CTE. 5 layers and a few days rest. I used the rubber for a few weeks just with water based glue to refer to the effect when i decided to boost the rubber. Rubber came out a fair bit spinnier, faster and i'd say more playable. By playable i refer to instances whereby you purchase a rubber and it doesnt 'settle' in till say about a month and during that time it has felt like crap and then suddenly come to life. I've had this experience with Donic gold and sonex jp.

So in my opinion, adding an effect to an already speed glue effect rubber doesnt make it worse or 'destroy' the rubber. It has merely skipped the break in cycle and added an extra zip and therefore more fun.

anyone use water base glue the tenergy and speed glue it later? becoz I find out that water base glue sucks. I cant feel the speed I use to have and my FH stroke feel useless now.

I am gonna speed glue the Tenergy now, maybe I will feel the it like Pryde. coz Pryde was really good. I think the water base glue did my Tenergy sucks now.Ouch

Todays training I speed glue the my Tenergy and it feels more a live in my FH and feel really great to play.

But I am not sure if Photino is good with Tenergy, coz it felt a bit slow for me.

Tenergy will be FH setup for me.Star
