Basically until a few months ago, I never knew Haifu made rubbers. I only found out when I looked at ittf's rubber list. Then I saw that presports obtained them. And now I look and see MAJOR pros using it including Hou Yingchao, and Dang Ye Seo (HAIFU WHALE/II). Has anyone tried it, know some one who has tried it, or any info at all about it. It clearly isn;t a regular heavy spinny Chinese rubber, otherwise it would be obsolete.

Yes, it would be interesting to find some of their properties, like weight, tackiness, spin/control, price... reviews, perhaps...

Price, they are more expensive than the average chinese rubber. They are in like the 20$ range, at least at presports, the ONLY place that sells them. I hear that the sponge is very elastic, which Is a reason you wouldn't need glue.

A coach from our club got one. It was whale as far as I remember. It was brought from China by our national team coach during the Olympics. Black Sponge. Not much tack. Doesn't feel like glued or something but not as dead as classic Chinese. It was playable without tuning etc. It didn't draw much attention in our club since it offered nothing special. Sponge was med-hard I guess. Will examine more to inform you.

I tried this rubber with black sponge about 2 months ago on clipper in hebei
its nothing special for average players, you wont have the racket speed to get the full potential out of it just like when most players try to use hurricane pretty much useless unless have extremely fast racket speed and are pretty much a professional because its going to have way way to hard of a sponge for you to get the ball to sink in and use properly from what i remember it was much harder than the hurricane I had at the time |

I dont know, when I played with it, it wasn't for sale in the shops nor did the players have any to sell, just a few kids had it to test out and they let me try out their rackets.
