    Posted: 10/26/2008 at 8:52am
Ive been playing several mounths with Sriver EL 2.1 and later Tenergy 1.9 on my Backhand, but Tenergy feels a bit dead special from mid/long distance. I would like to try a soft built in speed glue effect rubber and enough alive to play powerful topspins from mid distance with a decent control.

I tried my bros SOLCION but it sucks. Although Its really bouncy its also extremely slow and lacks of power. However I tried a Nimbus Soft that borrowed and love it, but i have heard that last only a few weeks.

Is that so? Are there any other soft, grippy (better tacky) and affordable rubbers with built in speed glue?

Any advices please...

Cheers.

I've found donic desto F3 2.0 great for looping on the backhand. Really soft and lots of extra power, I find that it also has plenty of gears while being very controlled. IQUL feels dead on the bh compared to it! Of course the bigslam version of F3 would be even better but I can't find that for a decent price anywhere.

Oh and I've had this red F3 for a couple of months now and it seems to get better and better, but i'll have to find a replacement for it soon because I can't afford it!

Are you looking for both FH and BH? What are you using on the FH?

Have you tried Sriver G3 and Sriver G3 FX ?

Sriver G3 FX is very soft.
SRiver G3 has the same Hardness like Tenergy 05 but is a lil bit faster and is better for mid distance.

cheers

By the way : can you tell me how the Tenergy 05 works with the violin ?  im very interested.

Have you tried both? Are you recommending these rubbers out of experience or just assumptions? Please clarify.

Didnt tried either Roxon, new Srivers or Stiga Boost, but Im rather dissapointed with new butterfly product. BTY Quality has decreased these years, and IMO they still havent realeased a real Built-in speed glue rubber.

By the way, im rather happy with Tenergy on FH, and works fine on the violin on FH/BH specially on short game and chopping, but compared with some other built-in tensors lacks very much on power-topspins. Tenergy with suits in a accuracy style with perfect ball placement and heavy spinny strokes, but lacks of power compared to Nimbus Soft though spinnier.

Im looking for something controllable&durable.

Cheers.

Tenergy has good power and spin and require some "tiring" strokes to get points.

You may have to look at some Euro rubbers.

How about the joola express series? I am using the energy green power, which I consider pretty good for both power and spin, and the express is supposed to be an improvement in everything (?), including durability. Could actually someone with real experience in using the rubber comment on that one (and possibly advantages/disadvantages over the tenergy/boost/etc.)?
