I like Schlager but it seems that he's a little bit down now ...
Does anyone know if he uses that Schlager Carbon with 2 Tenergy 05 or somethin' ??? BTY stopped to produce Schlager Carbon and when I asked the seller at the TT shop, he said that BTY might produce another Schlager product ? Have you heard any rumours ???
Thanks.

For a member of such "high caliber" to contribute such "quote" is just a shame then again nothing surprises me here anymore.....
Schlager may be in his mid-thirties n pushing big 40 but he could in any day smoke a lotta younger up n coming world class players....

He could do, but as you get older, priorities change and maybe he has decided to slow down a bit.

Maye the new schlager blade will be a defensive one?

oh yeah..so true n i jive w/u totally there...Schlager is 1 of a handful euro players i just luv 2 watch, so intense. Like the way he holds his racket, so stiff n so effective n it just works 4 him. Should SC be discontinued in the future as per some says here then we should all rush out 2 get a couple 2 keep as Collectibles. Nvr like SC LITE as anythn' w/name like so n so LITE is just Watered Dwn pc. of "2-b-Obsolete"

Why's it a shame? It's true, and that's that.

I could also say that Wang Liqin is getting older. Persson is getting older. Waldner is getting older. The list goes on... should I continue?

By the way, no one said "Schlager just sucks". They said "He is getting older".

He probably just plays for fun now. He knows he won't be a super pro anymore.

...towards coaching. But he is still the best in top spin offense.

Schlager just reached the Euro final by beating Samsonov in the semis... And it seems he's still planning to play in the London Olympics. So don't count him out just yet.

The schlager carbon is a thick blade. His blade looks thinner on tv but I'm not sure :).

The schlager carbon is a very fast blade.

Butterfly stopped making Schlager Carbon? Wasn't that a popular blade from Butterfly?

I don't believe they would stop producting the Schlager Carbon. Maybe if they just give it a facelift and then just call it something else like they did with the TBS -> TBALC...

Maybe Schlager wants a ZLC blade. (But they should still sell a Schlager Carbon given its popularity.)

Schlager plays Schlager Carbon and Tenergy05.
He seems little slower , no speed glue ,new rubbers he needs time to adjust as everybody else.

The truth is BTY stopped produce Schlager carbon for a while so they adjust the characteristics of the blade.I heard now it's softer.Although I didn't play with Schlager  carbon but I saw on the handle of the blade, the butterfly is now silver like new model blades not the old black butterfly like Sardius.

I hope they don't change anything since it's the only blade that is truly hard and fast without putting anything on the surface. Most players that don't have enough experience don't like it but I enjoy a hard setup for close-to-the-table play. I guess I am in the minorty.
