It's funny you should mention sanding down a flared handle to straight; as i've recently got a Clipper Wood with a legend handle and sanded it down to a straight handle.

I found the flared end of the handle got in the way when backhand looping and I wasn't blocking as well with this blade, as I can with my straight handle Offensive Classic; so I've sanded the handle to straight and it feels much better as a result.

Ibupro

Pronation can be a problem for me when playing with flared handles too, particularly if they have a wide flare. I've noticed I play more consistently with a straight handle because it sits correctly in the palm of the hand.

That's excactly why i do it too. Also, i get some mad blisters where the flared bit sticks out. Can be really painful to play like that : )

I did it to my Clipper. After 1 week I gave it to my mate and purchased the Korbel.

I use ST and I file down the edges at the end.  This helps me rotate when I slam and makes it easier to twiddle. Shocked
