Hi, what's the ideal/minimum height of the incoming ball for smashing? It is obviously safe when the ball is 1 feet higher than the net. But how u guys treat with not so high balls? Please share.

If the ball is just above the net smash it,keep the rack face open throughout the stroke(including the follow-up)hit it on it's peak . If it is lower then loop or push it.

If it's THAT high, just wait, don't rush and you could smash or loop kill.

If your opponent is very far back, drop shot into the corner.

lol Woops didn't really answer your question.

Um I'd hit it when it's coming down. But as the ball accelerates as it comes down, you have to be careful you don't completely miss the ball.

I tried it like u say, when ball is coming down. This is way to difficult for me adjust and always seem to hit the net.

If I want to take the ball as it is rising, it often becomes more of a counter drive or a flat hard block that goes back in a straight line. But yes, I try to take the ball just after it has stopped rising. If the ball is off the table, it can be looped even if it is a bit lower than the net.

Hmm. Interesting. I think pushing is better for less margin of error.

you should lift those balls with a little topspin and than smash the next one.

yea but be careful of how high you lift the ball...If you lift it too high, you'll be dead...

You also have to consider how far the ball is from the net. If it's close to the net, then even a low ball can be smashed. The same height ball but further away from the net will require a loop.

If the ball is within 1 foot of the net, and is even 3 inches above net height, you can smash or super flip it.

Well, I guess it also depends on how much spin there is...
