Hey everyone im buying 1 of these 2 rubbers soon and i am just trying to find out a few things about them first.
Can anyone compare these 2 rubbers for me?
e.g. spin. power. sponge hardness. topsheet. sound. control. ball throw.
Also can u tell me how they do with certain shots
e.g. Blocking/aggressive blocks. drives. fast loops. slow loops. high spin loops. chops. serves. service recieve. punch. spin ups.
One last thing. My blade is Tibhar Samsonov Alpha which is quite a hard blade.
Anything information on this will help
Thank you

Tibhar Samsonov Alpha is not a hard blade at all. It actually vibrates... basically kicks back into the handle. This is because its soft and flexible which makes it a great looping blade for the trampoline effect.
Just my take when I tried this blade for a few days. |

Vibrates? i never feel vibrations and iv been playing with it for about 5months now. It has a hard feel and is quite a rigid blade.
Although with touch play it does feel a little soft

I will use any glue. or just get the shop to glue it b4 they send it to me.
Yes i know Sound is really soft and so is Xtra i want this because most of my game is mid distance. I am always away from the table and this is where the soft rubbers come into play.
Also because the Alpha blade is rigid something as soft as Sound will be a perfect match or same with Xtra.
I have been playing with Bryce FX on my FH for almost 2 weeks now and i love how it feels its just a little too slow. Bryce FX is 33 degree hardness and Sound is 35. Xtra is supposed to be 37.5 but it feels softer.

Really?
Hmm well actually i would like something a little softer and i kinda thought Xtra would be softer because of the speed glue affect.
I played with a glued up Cermit yesturday and it was so soft and sooooo nice. So much speed and so much spin i was shocked.

Well, I haven't tried Joola Energy Xtra yet but I'm now using Nimbus sound and to me it is very very soft ( I use 1.8 mm so maybe it feels softer than max ??? ).Nimbus sound is very soft, medium fast, not very spinny, I made it a little bit tacky using Joola Spinmax =)) ! But I like it because it has good control and very easy to lift up heavy backspin compared to Bryce FX, and I think it has high throw or at least medium high.

Yes thats 1 of the reasons i want to get Xtra or Sound. because they r both good for spin ups. they r both good for generating spin because u dont have to brush the ball as much u can sink it into the sponge.
