Speed: T05 > Whale2 tuned > 729-08
Spin: 729-08 > T05 > Whale2 tuned
Hardness: 729-08 > T05 > Whale2 tuned
Stickiness: 729-08 > Whale2 tuned > T05
Weight: 729-08 = T05 > Whale2 tuned
Loud Sound: T05 > 729-08 > Whale2 tuned

Based on what I have read...
am I correct? Smile

I am still waiting for Haifu Whale II to arrive but here is the observation I had when I played with T05 and 729-08:

Spin:  T05 > 729-08
Weight:  709-08 > T05

please could you compare the speed of these two rubbers too?
And what about spin, is there significant difference? I suspect 729-08 to be as spinny as other average or below average rubbers from friendship (that is still more spin than avarage, but there are better ones in terms of spin)

I would say the spin from 729-08 is similar to H3 and above the average rubbers from friendship.  Because it is tacky rubber it is slower than T05 and you need fast blade to overcome the speed problem.  Mine is a lot heavier than H3.

For T05, I have to play with slower blade but generating the spin is quite easy.

It seems that a number of those in chinese forums prefer 729-08 over whale II because 729-08 is more tacky, able to generate more spin and have better control than whale II.

the spin of Whale II on away from the table looping is unreal. If you do it right.. its got great spin on slow loops too.

I'd say they should be able to last at least 1-2 years.

You really can't define the spin of a rubber by a single number... it will be different depending on the stoke and the speed/impact of the ball.

For example it will be hard to beat a tacky rubber for spin on serves, tacky rubbers make it real easy... However in general non-tacky rubber (but grippy) often produce more spin on loops. So which one is more spinny?

The same thing applies for the speed and control of a rubber...

A brief hit of Whale II tuned and T05 confirms my prediction...

now I hope to try 729-08...

Speed: T05 > Whale2 tuned > 729-08
Spin: 729-08 > T05 > Whale2 tuned
Hardness: 729-08 > Whale2 tuned > T05
Stickiness: 729-08 > Whale2 tuned > T05
Weight: Whale2 tuned > T05 = 729-08
Loud Sound: Whale2 tuned > T05 > 729-08
