i can't believe no one has said palio C on saviga / quattro... for consistent midrange at the price it's definitely up there.
preassembled, as an allaround rubber, i have to go with Higher 3 jap. love that stuff, but that's coming from my view of a true all arounder, not pure looping (though i love it for that as well). |

palio C on saviga is more like a decent euro/jap wannabe rubber. It's nothing special at all.

palio on saviga / quattro is certainly easy to loop with (esp. if one is more uesd to jap style sheets) and for the price is a great sheet.

H3 when its brand new and the initial tack hasnt worn off so you get aid from the extra tackiness... you can rip a loop by very low arc and with enough kick to take your pants off. I know you arent supposed to play right away.. sposed to let it break in. But one time.. a little trash talking ended up with me playing a match no warm up with a brand new H3. Man it was just unfair lol.

I might just add that in my club the number 1 and number 2 players both use Hurricane 2. Number 3 and 4 use Friendship 729. All can afford any rubber they want yet no one in the top 6? use Butterfly or any other non tacky rubber

the number 1 in my club can use a piece of lino on his forehand and still beat every one, the no 2 uses old generation yasaka stuff what ever is on sale - there is only 1 guy in the top division that uses 729 fx soft (something like that) and his loop is pretty dam average but his serve is the best in the club in my opinion and his backhand short pimple control is ridiculous
