Anyone ever try this blade b4? what do you think?
fast? good control? I'm currently using Stiga Energy Wood wrb w/ Hurricane 3 rubber. Heard H3 rubber is not good on Carbon blade. So wondering if it'll be a good combination on softer carbon. |

i agree. i was not impressed with it when i hit a few. what are you looking for vs. your current setup?? energy wood with chinese rubber is a pretty good combo, esp. for loop-based style of play.

Thanks guys! I'll take that out of my list. I saw it was on sale at paddle
palace so was wondering why it's not as popular.
The previous blade i was using is Banda Waldner, when banda is still a company itself, w/ waldner and vario soft rubber. Had that paddle for over 10 yrs now and decided to try the wrb style. Playing w/ wrb blade definitely require some adjustment to it. Energy wood has better control for sure. But it does require you to add more power to it to bring out the speed. w/ my previous paddle, I tend to loop more from mid distance. I want to change my style to become more close to table attacker than looper. My next paddle i want it to be a little faster and compatible w/ H3 rubber (hehe partly because the rubber is cheaper and I actually like it after using it). Still can't compare w/ other rubbers like Yasaka Pryde but I'm ok w/ it for now. Never tried a carbon blade before so still deciding if I should look for a carbon blade or stay with all wood blade. If I stay with wrb handle then I'll stay w/ stiga blade. If not then I might look at Nittaku blade..but boy..they are not cheap :( |
