Hi All,
Just received a new HK blade and can't make up my mind whether to stick with ZLF or switch to HK. I have been playing with ZLF for a while and getting used to it. However, when I tried HK blade from my friend and I kinda like it too. Any suggestion/recommendation is deeply appreciated. Thanks, ThaiLe |

I think any logical member should answer this as "stick with what you play right now." But I know you won't be at ease.

play with the HK for a month and than try to go back to your ZLF and if you find you like the Hk better that stick with it.
You can play with it for how ever you want but 1 month is usually a pretty good time span of ups and downs in training and how you feel you played with it and where it improved or disabled parts of your game. |

I finally decided to give my HK a try with Outlaw on FH & Shadow on BH. Both are 2.2mm version. To my surprise, they performed so well. FH with Outlaw is quite fast and powerful. BH with Shadow is slower but spinny with great control. Short games and mid distance loops are right on the money. I will try to play more with this setup before switching to it completely.
Anyone else tries Outlaw and Shadow on HK yet?

I might throw outlaw on the HK backhand. IDK.. the sealing didnt work out. I've been using an H-GY till I get a rubber for my HK. Its just gonna be my backup. But outlaw seems like the best choice for a BH rubber for me while also being cheap.

I would be willing to bet you like the HK more in the end though :) better feeling, easier to control. IDK speed to speed.. but the HK is fast enough for anyone. |

I hope you're right. After couple tries, I start to like HK more and more. Is there any other light rubbers that you recommend? Thx. |

I'm sorry... but I have always used a heavy setup. I think the lightest it got for me was when I used LKT Rapid Soft on the BH. Thats a nice soft light rubber. It was my favorite inverted BH rubber before I used Hammond X.
but the LKT Rapid series and the LKT Pro XP/XT are light rubbers. I havent tried any of the new gambler rubbers on it yet... so idk how light they are really.

I played with HK combo (Outlaw on FH and Shadow on BH) for few hours today and liked it even more. The counterloop part was awesome.
Perhaps I will switch to HK in couple weeks... |

Only if the handle is straight. Too bad that it is flared and you won't like it... |

I had another great night with HK tonight. I keep the Shadow on BH and replace Outlaw on FH with Coppa Gold. Both rubbers have 2.0mm thickness. Very nice and light combo. The total weight is about 175 grs. BH is still good as usual but FH is a little bit better in term of spin.
So I finally made up my mind and switching to HK from ZLF... I will have the ZLF blade up for sale soon... |

I want to, just because i dont use it as of now. But we have a lot of good memories together. lol. It's a sentimental thing. Any other blade I wouldnt care.. but theres just something special about the HK. IDK.. I'll let you guys know If i ever decide to sell it. it's a bit banged up which is why I'd sell for cheap.. but nothing that compromises playing performance. Just cosmetic.
lol. like I said.. I'll let you guys know.

Are you not going to play HK blade at all? Or you'd prefer the newer version. |

IMO, tdragon is not allowed to buy any more blade. His EJ virus needs to be cured ASAP. He already has a big collection of blades and rubbers... |

Is your HK handle flared or straight? And do you know the weight? |

all the more reason i'd like yours... after trying many i still use my hk as primary and it's banged up pretty good so people won't spend much buying mine (not that i want to sell it despite many offers)... so i want to get another for back up. i prefer a well used one because of two reasons: price is much lower than a new one and well used one plays better than a brand new one.... |
