I'm still a bit hyped after tonight and can't stop thinking about the awesomeness of the loops I cold hit with that V1. I'm going to look for a rubber for it with the following qualities.
1. Tacky or Tacky(ish) 2. Around 38 degree hardness 3. Low throw, but slightly higher than H2 4. Able to stand being hit hard with a hard blade without bottoming out The only complaints I have about the Globe 999-n I stuck on it are, a little too springy in close (it's 40 degree and not tacky like H2 so it's faster on soft shots), it doesn't generate as much spin as H2 and it bottomed badly out a couple of times (not often). Otherwise I found the height it throws perfect for the blade. I'm thinking of TG3 although I've never had a serious go with that and never on a weapon of a blade like this so I'm a bit unsure. All suggestions welcome:) especailly if someone knows of a 729 rubber with the above qualities |

If indeed it's a clone of Avalox AVX Ma Wenge
C555 http://forums.oneofakindtrading.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=8397 then you'll need soft rubbers on it as it written on the blade.
TG3 #21 (blue sponge) it's higher throw than H2 blue sponge, but it's not soft. I'm going to test it first with tensors when I'll get mine. Check the reviews also: http://avalox.oneofakindtrading.com.au/AVX-Ma-Wenge-Carbon-C555.php |

Since this seems to be a hard blade ( rather low throw ), a hard rubber ( often lower throw ) would make this combination maybe too low throw. Hence softer rubbers recommended. I d also try TG3, but the non-#21 to make sure it s not going too soft.

Thot, it'll be a pretty wild machine with tensors on it:!) but try it out and let me know how that works. It really does seem to be of indentical construction and wood as the Avalox blade and my feelings about the blade agree with what they are saying about the avalox (awesome mid range looping blade).
Waldmeister, I've had good luck with the blue sponge H2's, I like the sponge but I really really think that the H2 will just be simply too low on this blade, the blue sponge isn't much softer than commercial just a couple of degrees. I'm not sure what TG3 to order. I'll go to ooak and think about it :) I really only bought it to see what it was like and to add to my collection, I never thought it was going to be this good and become my main blade :)? crazy times |

That would be pretty off the hook man, I don't know if I could handle it :), this blade has got some pretty serious kick in it allready

nicefrog,
If you think WLQ used this V-1, try to find out what he used on this blade. You can save a lot of time and money. Where did you buy this Stiga ? They do not sell it in the U.S.A. |

Even if he finds out what rubbers Liqin is using I doubt that he'll be able to get the rubber used on FH, maybe a rubber with the same logo, but that's it. The FH rubbers are specially made for the National team and I don't think they are available online.
I'm more curious of the rubber used on BH, if it's something euro/jap you can buy it. For me this is the reason for buying this blade, I knew that Liqin is using Stiga V1 (not sure if it's WRB or not) and I wanted to know how I'll play with it. |

Thot,
Just find WLQ in a WTTC, and buy it from him or another national team member. It is the cost, but I will not have the same power or stroke as WLQ. To be at that level, years of training and age against me. Just want to see what it is like with that setup. |

He's got to be using one of the 4 main DHS rubbers, almost for sure either TG3/H3 _maybe_ H2 and he's not using anything with a blue sponge on it. So at the worst it will cost 60$ to have the same(ish) FH rubber, at least the same topsheet :). If he's still using it at the next tournament maybe someone will get a picture

I've had a genius idea! I'll play a H2 on the backhand and TG3 on the forehand! then I can attack from either distance (just flip sides) and H2 is a good backhand rubber anyway

nicefrog,
Did you feel a carbon ping with the V-1 as the other person stated ? |

That was me?:), with rubbers on the blade there is not much ping at all. Only with the rubbers off. The blade is quite flexable, it's not 100% stiff like most carbon blade. With rubbers on it just makes a nice sound
