I have been using tenergy 05 for a while now for my bh. I love the massive amounts of spin it creates. However i am not satisfied.

Is there a rubber that can create near to same amount of spin that tenergy does that has a softer sponge? it does not have to be the same speed as tenergy but not as slow as unglued hurricane from like 3 years ago. I am looking for Donic or butterfly

Have you tried T64? In my opinion,T64 is softer than T05 but slightly less spinny on opening loops. On counter looping, they both generate similar spin. I have tried Donic JO Platin and the effect is no where close to Tenergy's.

I would agree with Malong, go with T64 on the backhand.  It is a great rubber for big loops away from the table, very stable for blocking and is still good for opening loops.  Is tibhar dtechs or however you spell it soft and spinny and fast? A lot of folks here like that rubber

I tried both of them today...HATED T05...no dwell time..no feeling...LOVED t64(loads of dwell time and click sound)...they are so different...can't believe they both sponge makes that BIG of a difference.

Bryce speed is a really good BH rubber but requires practice and skill to use.  It plays very different from Tenergy.  It's a harder rubber and you can get similar amounts of spin with tenergy but i think it will take a lot of practice.  It's great for blocking and i loved it for opening loops

Xiom Zeta (Asian version) has as much spin, speed, and throw as Tenergy 05, but the sponge is a little softer.

Tibhar Rapid DTecS is also very spinny and fast, and a little softer (almost like Zeta), but the throw is definitely lower.

Donic Baracuda or Tibhar Genius. They are ment to have the same arc and very similar spin like T05 but softer sponges. They are both new gen tensors made in japan and so the quality and durability should be very good.

I have the same problems with my T05 on BH.
I think, I'll take T64.

I don't like T05 on my BH either, but I like the spin when it is hit just right.
I am using Donic Baracuda on my BH and it is a softer, slower version of T05, it also has more control.
Gave up listing, too many changes.

It is hard to compare the softness, other than feel, but I will try.  If T05 is medium/hard, then Barcuda would be medium.   The spin is a little less, but with the better control on my BH, I can actually come over the ball with a more aggressive stroke.

u made it look easy to compare ^_^
Is it about as hard as T64? or has it got a different feel to it?
Sounds like an awsome rubber

No, softer than T64.  I had a difficult time flipping heavy underspin (close to the net) on my BH with T64 and T05, but not with Baracuda.  There isn't a perfect rubber, both Tenergy rubbers are very good, I just have a hard time with them on my BH.  I am using T05 on my FH, but I will be testing Hexer, hopefully next week.

how does it work on the fh compared to 05? or havnt u tried it yet. I am currently trying to decide whether or not to get T05 or Genius on my fh. The Genius is pretty much the same as Baracuda so im getting opinions on that aswell as Hexer and X-Plode

I haven't used it on my FH, but I might try it this week.  I don't have a problem with T05 on my FH, so I don't realy want to mess with the combination right now, but the EJ will get the best of me.  I should get a couple of sheets of Hexer and Genius this week, at least I hope, waiting for delivery from overseas.  I do have a friend that is trying Baracuda on his FH and if I see him this week, I will ask him how he likes it.
