Hello there,

I just want to know what you have to say about these guys?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5XvFq1JDlk

Pepijn (Blond haired!!), is the best under-18 player in the Netherlands. He played the European Championships. He lost in the first round, but I think he could have a good future.

What do you think about him, and what could he done better in this match?

Thanks

i think he could differ his serves a little more in the match, unless he disguised them very well so i couldnt tell, if so there were only backspin/no spin.

thats not by any chance you is it?

pepijn leppers is the blond guy not the black haired guy. the black haired guy is gamal de groot. Pepijn is indeed one of the best junior of the country. I've played them both a couple of times, great players.

Good players.

Any young player who loves this game and wants to improve on a daily basis has a future. Netherlands should invest some money on these guys and send them to China for in-depth training for at least 3 months. We will see the born again professional players. But professional TT training in China is no micky mouse stuff. It means day and night drilling enforced by the Chinese TT Shaolin Jedi; breakfast, lunch and dinner in between. The boys have to forget about their girlfriends for 3 months and vice versa. If they are lucky they may even be able to meet Wang Hao, Ma Lin, WLQ, Ma Long and other top players and get their autographs, used rubbers or TT tips.

One of them(Pepijn Leppers, the one who wins) has allready been to China. He now trains with the Dutch national team every day and he is improving every day. By the way, Timothy Wang (probably known by the Americans on here) practices there to. You can also see him sitting in the back with Leppers team. He now plays in the second team there.

And Wealthweb, they don't need used rubbers from the Chinese. They get new rubbers whenever they need them. They play with Tenergy 05 and not Hurricane, Skyline or BW2.

I play the National Youth Champs of the Netherlands. Pepijn is placed in the quarter-finales. If have to win 1 round and I could play against Pepijn.

What is his weakness, or what should I do to beat this guy?

Thanks

That's nonsense. I just want some informal answers.

Yes. But meerkampen isn't a good Dutch word, so I think it are the Champs in English.

His play doesn't look very spectacular but his strokes are solid.

I've never seen him play personally. But i think he made the US mens team.

i didn't know he left for the netherlands to play though. That's interesting. I had no idea what the standards of play are over there. Now I kinda have an idea I guess.

Pepijn Leppers (* 5/93) is strong, winning more than the half of his matches in the highest dutch division.
At the Europ. Youth Championship, he lost 0-4 against the german hope Patrick Franziska, the No. 19 of the Under 18- World Ranking, who is one year older.
Leppers is actually the No. 272 of this U18-Ranking. Its just a number, nobody can say, how thinks will develope.

A big talent from the Netherlands is the fantastic Cosmin Stan (14 years old!), playing for the Champions AADrink already in the Eredivisie- with a percentage of 50 % winning matches!
