I'm a J-Pen player, and on my reverse side I have TSP P1 Curl with 0.6 sponge, I like it but I figured there could be something out there better and more controllable.
I have used Feint Long 2 and well as 755. I find the TSP better than both. I use the pips mainly to return serves and sometimes in the middle of a rally, like giving a dead push. |

I've tried Magic Monkey and it was pretty good, my friend uses it the same way, more of a junk rubber than for chopping, and he can return serves very well with it. Plus it's only 10$.

I've tried Curl p1r in 0.6mm also. I did not find p1r did much for me as the pips are on the harder side compared to other LP's. For me, 755ox works better.

I'm using Curl P1-R 1.1mm and after half a year I could receive serve pretty darn well now. But I practice a lot everyday so i might get better quicklier than if you only train 3 days a week. In my opinion, there are no equipments that are impossible to handle, it's just a matter of how much time and effort you've put in to get used to the equipments. Anyway, if you want illegal stuff then frictionless LP is good choice. Otherwise, try some low friction chinese LP. Btw, did someone say Curl P1-R is hard LP ? If you mean by hard/soft then that's so wrong... Curl is soft, maybe even softer than Joola Octopus.

Galaxy/Milkyway Neptune in OX, should suit your needs, and it is as cheap as they come. Others then that, I do agree with Bogeyhunter, the Saviga V is also a good choice and more or less, any other LP then your current will make it easier as TSP is a rubber that really takes some time to handle.
The problem is, there are lots of LP users out there, but very few LP players, but it is the LP Players that can tell you what works best for your style. |

I personally like the Meteor 8512, very stable. But also can try Friendship 837, Milky Way 995/Neptune and Friendship 755 (works pretty good for reversal).
Another player at the club uses a C-pen and has Dawei 388D-1 OX on the back. She uses it just like you to receive deep BH serves and occasionally push. Messes me up every now and then. |
