true. but i dont believe that only two pieces of cloth table will do the job. im thinking about doing what you said just need to go to sports authority for the edge tape. i use tennis tape for it is much higher quality but much cheaper.

An interesting way to remove dents from wood without involvement of any fillers.

Might be applicable to some dents on table tennis blades, esp blade face surface.

I have also used thick type super glue on the edges to protect a balsa cored blade.

works nice.

of course you could add edge tape afterward if you wanted.

I looked all over Amazon but can't find anything similar.

Can you point me in the right direction where I can find this stuff?

+1.
This is THE way/method I use all the time to fix dented spots on any part of my blades.
Forget about the rest of the suggested or so-called methods.

10 mm wide edge tape.  These are about 2 mm thick and feel like some kind of foam material.

austin there are a lot of good tips here but don't worry.  Every favorite blade will get battle scars and edge dents don't affect how the blade plays.  Look at any pro and they'll have some good war stories for the dents on their gear.  I occasionally sand these out to prevent splinters but don't sweat it.

I'm pretty sure Austin is not worrying - he last visited the forum in July 2010 and his account is suspended.
