I have a custom made blade that is hard, and a little flexible (not too much). It is 5.5mm with white ash/limba/ULC plies. Quite hard feel and low dwell time. I'm currently using Palio Macro Era 42.5. Have tried H3 40degree Prov, and Mark V. H3 and Mark V feel rock hard on this blade and hard to loop. PME 42.5 is better, but I'm finding my game getting steered towards hitting more. The blade is so nice to hit with. When you loop with a compact stroke especially if utilizing the flex of the blade, i can generate tremendous spin. However it is still not easy to loop because the blade is hard. Outer ply is like Nittaku Violin. But this one has carbon, so even harder.
Any suggestions for a rubber to match this blade? If you are using a hard blade, what is your blade and what is your rubber? |
