Hi All,

I'm finding it difficult to find a good rubber match for my Boll ZLF.  I've tried some hard chinese stuff (Neo H3), and some super-soft stuff (F3 Big Slam), but it doesn't quite feel right for me.

Putting my suspect technique to one side for a second, I was wondering what other Zylon blade owners were using for their rubbers?  I'm particularly interesting in Zylon-only, rather than Zylon-Carbon, so ZLF, Photino, Andro Kinetic Zylon Hinoki, etc.

Thanks for any info!

Andy.

Andro Roxon 500 Pro is a charm for the forehand, well atleast for me ;)

used it on the Photino in Max Thickness, I had Tenergy 64 on the BH.
Blade: TB ALC
FH: Tenergy05 2.1
BH: Tenergy64 1.7

Thanks for the info!

Perhaps a harder tensor is the way to go then?  I may order the harder Macro Era and give that a try.

I've Sriver L 2.1 FH & Sriver EL 2.1 BH on my 88g Photino, to me the whole thing is fast enuf, controllable yet strangely for my last 84g one I put used Sigma 2.0 FH, used Sriver EL 2.1 BH and it worked even better and makes me wonder that Med soft rubbers should work well on this blade or may be a mere 4g diff. make a HUGE diff. overall. Nvr try any tuned/pre-tuned on it so I can't say....

Hey DZhuo!

Do you know how the Powersponge Duro compares to regular Hexer?  I tried Hexer some time ago on a Maze ALC and it didn't last very long at all.

Europe on TBS ZLF is good. Pro are better. Spinart are even better. Though best match for them is ZLC.

I own a mizutani and always found springy rubbers of medium or medium soft the best match.

for example, tenergy 64 worked better than tenergy 05. bw2 (more springy) worked better than h3. however, bw2 >37 degrees work less well.

thats my experience though.

OK, sounds like I've been going too hard (DHS stuff) or too soft (Energy X-Soft and Big Slam).  Something in between might do the trick!

I've got some T05FX and Spinart on order, so I'm going to start with that.  From there, I might mess around with the new Palio stuff, or try some old school sriver.

Thanks for your replies!

The Tenergy 05 works well on my professor's Photino...
Blade: Timo Boll ALC 92 g.
Forehand: Tenergy 05 2.1 mm. (black)
Backhand: Tenergy 05 2.1 mm. (red).
Perfect loops
