TBS is a little stiff comparing to IF ZLF. ZLF has more dwelling.
Both are good imho, but you could do so much more with TBS than IF ZLF if you are a hitter/looper. vs. IF Zlf is more for controlled looping games.
Hope that helps.

Blocking is better with TBS as well. IF ZLF is more expensive too.

Thank you for your contribution.
What about the IF ZLC? Have you tested? I have read good reviews. |

The IF ZLC is faster than the TBS and the IF ZLF. Its has less dwell and less feel.

Thank for the replies, helped me a lot.
Think I'll buy a TBS, or maybe a TB ALC. |

Well, he didn't ask so I won't let him in on the secret...
btw, the ALC is faster than the IF ZLC, definitely no feel.

TBS is more stiff good for close to the table short game.. good control paired up with T05, I would say a bit faster but the control is much lesser than ZLF.... if your ZLF is Photino, but if its IF ZLF its a different story heheheh .. IF ZLF is a bit harder in terms of feeling than the Photino, its best paired up with a softer rubber. |

TBS is a great blade. I was lucky that I got it from someone. He was moving on to Stiga CC, so he sold his TBS in fairly new condition.
This blade definitely have some flex for looping, pack some power for hitting, got some stiffness to help blocking, and surprisingly excellent control for over the table play.. |

I tried 4 IF version, ALC, AL, T5000 and ULC... I have to say, I don't like this series of IF at all. I like the Timo Boll series better. I like TB Spirit more than IF blades that I tried. TB Spirit just a little bit slow for my taste. I didn't really answer your questions, but just something for you to think about. Edited by speedy - 02/08/2011 at 8:08pm |

+1 I agree with speedy... IF series is not as great as butterfly claims it to be.

I realize I might catch a lot of flak for saying this, but the best "Innerforce" isn't even made by Butterfly.
It's a Stiga Super Carbon. And it costs less than half of most Innerforce blades. Like the IF series, the carbon is buried fairly deep beneath the outer plies. Unlike the IF series, the blade has very good "Stiga" Feel. And it's fast enough to go out to mid distance and win points, but it has amazing touch over the table. It's a solid OFF blade that can play as forgiving as some ALL+ blades. IMHO, the Super Carbon is probably better than most of Stiga's newer blades costing twice as much. I'd definitely claim that the balance of control to power of the Super Carbon outperforms such Stiga favorites as the Clipper and OC CR. It is not only a superb blocking blade but also smashes well (due to Carbon and sweet spot), while also looping very well due to the soft (limba?) outer plies... Too bad it's discontinued. Get one while you can. |
