Has anyone played with both? I need comparison for speed, hardness, flex.

I have both. I found the 2010 version to feel harder IMO. It has more of a crisp feeling, so I guess you can attribute that to a slight increase in hardness and flex, though not by much. It's still a looping blade like the original Stradivarius, and speedwise I'd say they're essentially identical. I also think the 2010 head is slightly larger, it's not as egg-shaped as the originals, so it'll be a tad bit head heavier, though nothing significant. But they're still essentially the same blade, you can pick up one and use the other without any adjustment. It's just the feeling isn't identical, all practical results are.
On a side note, as for the hardness, I noticed the layer of A/C in the 2010 version is white/black and the original is blue/black, so I'm wondering if their new layer is actually A/C or something closer along the lines of ZLC like BTY has? It would explain the different feeling, but I can't justify this in any way, just a hypothesis. |

Your play will change your opinion of your equipment more than your equipment will change your opinion of your play.

It's still AC but with some other high elastic material added to it.

I think they are the same. Mine 2010 is softer and not so high pitch sounding than previous old model. But the 2010 is lighter as well. So I assume that differences are just the one-piece-to-another differences. Handle and head dimensions are the major difference.
