Hi, I was told that my shoes i use for table tennis were kinda bulky and would probably slow me down a little. they are kinda large, and i can see how they could do so. Unfortunately, I wear a size 15 US (and proud of it ) i have noticed that any shoes i see online are not only quite expensive, but their maximum size is 12. (a little bit of a stretch ) so would some other kind of sports shoe that are common to find wherever be suitable?

Volleyball or Indoor soccer shoes with gum sole are fine.

Most Japanese and Chinese table tennis shoes (Mizuno, Butterfly etc) are really hard to find in sizes above US 11. Asics and adidas have some shoes that have larger sizes, but this shoe Asics Mens Volleyball Shoe Gel Rocket 5 is really good for table tennis.

hm...ok. I'll look into volleyball shoes and soccer shoes (I think i've heard these recommended before, come to think of it) then! I heard tennis shoes were too big, so i wasnt sure...

+1  Volleyball, Indoor court/soccer
http://www.zappos.com/mens-sneakers-athletic-shoes~dA   They list the weight of the shoes in the product description which is really handy.

Hi , Badminton shoes ( Yonex: larger size availability and prize factor) seems to work just great for me.

Another vote for Asics Gel Rockets but the Adidas ClimaCool shoes are also great.

For me its a no. First of all it does not have a gumsole and running shoes are only designed for forward movement not for sideways. BTW I like the design of the shoes LOL

How do the sizes of the tt shoes compare to that of normal shoes, like converse? Are they a little on the small side or a little big? The problem is, I wear anywhere from 11-11.5, depending on the shoe and I don't want to buy a $150 dollar pair of shoes that just barely doesn't fit.
