The grubba works well with a variety of japanese and german rubbers, as well as anti and long pips both for close to the table play, and mid distance defense.

The grubba is very slow but offers amazing DEF like control. It's also very flexible.

I would suspect that the Samsonov Premium contact is not only faster, but plays stiffer as well.

The BTY A. Grubba is now made in China and the quality is hit and miss at best. It's a soft blade with ALL to ALL+ speed. The Tibhar Premium contact has much better build quality is stiffer and offers a bit more offensive potiential. The old BTY A. Grubba's made in Japan where much better than the new ones. Last year I bought the newer one made in China and it went directly into the trash bin upon inspection.

The T. Boll ALL + is a bit stiffer and slightly faster but again I believe that blade is also made in China so build quality could be a question. There are much better choices than BTY in the ALL+ class by other manufacturers such as Donic Epox Power Allround, Nittaku Rising, Nittaku Sheridan, Nittaku Torua, Juic Stellan Bengtsson Alpha, or Stiga Allround Evolution.
