Hey Guys
Currently Using Butterfly Jonyer-H-AN (OFF) As Blade With Mark V (Normal One) Both The Sides I am new to this forum, I was looking for buying a new bat for me and decided to go for Michael Maze as a BLADE. But want to have advice on buying rubbers for it. I usually hit Forehand loops and forehand smashes if the ball have more bounce. (Mostly Loops) I need to practice on my forehand side for pushing with backspin. I got really good control on my backhand side for blocking, backspin pushing, and allot of times hitting ball with BH and even hitting small top spins with it (or I can say rolling ball from upper side when a backspin comes on my Backhand) That's all My game is, so can anyone recommend me best rubbers according to my game so that I can take out best out of those equipments. Thanks |

Why don't you using same rubbers for your M.Maze?
I don't think change the whole setup is good for you. Try using different blades with same rubbers seems more logic for me. But if you really want to change your rubber, my Dawei Inspirit Quattro Ultralight works perfect for me with M.Maze. |

Hmm okay I will first try my current rubbers on it but still,
as my shots are slow, like my topspin got accuracy, I mean I hit 9/10 but the problem currently with me is that my power of those smashes, and top spin.. they are slow as compare to other players in my club. But still I always get advantage of my accuracy as I can hit them allot in a row makes difficult to defend all those. I want something which increase my power of shots so it gets more difficult to return. Thanks |

Since you are very familiar with Mark V, I would recommend that you carry that over to the Maze for a while. That way, you can determine how much difference the Maze blade itself has on your game. Once you have developed a good baseline for how the Maze plays then you could switch.

Rubbers with harder sponge suit better with M.Maze . Very good is Acuda S1 or Rakza 7.

As Michael Maze blade has limba outer layers (and between Arylate-carbon) it should have quite long dwell time in the wood, so it can generate great spin moreso with the rubbers sponge instead of topsheet. Limba blades are generaly suitable for players who prefers to hold the ball bit longer in his own grip, and prefers to generate power shots by himself. Just look at some top players who play with limba blades. Example; Jun Mizutani, Vladimir Samsonov, Petr Korbel. (Michael Maze interestingly switched to harder and more dense koto outer layers of Timo Boll Spirit blade, and stayed with Bryce speed rubbers). Therefore I think that longer dwel time of limba would suggest lower throw rubbers (Bryce speed, Joola Phenix, H2...) or rubbers with higher throw and harder sponge (H3, TG2, Tenergy 05...).

I would give Butterfly's new rubber "Maze X-treme" in 2.0mm a try. The cover says "the new rubber made especially for Butterfly's Michael Maze blade has bulit-in tension with extra high grip to produce frightening amount of spin".
