I have been using Vega xiom pro for a year, and is satisfied with the spin and the hardness of sponge .. but recently I have seen many people try acuda s1 .. This causes the rising interest for me to try acuda 1 but before that I want to seek the views of those who have tried acuda s1 and gives the comparison between Acuda s1 with Xiom Vega Pro..
I certainly appreciate your opinion to help meWink

1. speed: s1 > vp easily. however, if you tune the sponge of vega pro and s1 with baby oil, the order reverses.

2. spin: vp > s1. easily. also the throw of vega pro is much higher.

3. gears: vp > s1. vega pro has much better short game, especially backhand sidespin flick over the table. vega pro is only fast when you want it to be. (this does not mean that vega pro is slow or not bouncy enough or not springy enough: in passive shots it is still way faster than a heavily tuned NEO h3)

4. kick/serve: I don't know; I don't pay attention to this, i guess they are the same; they both have a very grippy topsheet. Vega pro probably more.

5. vega pro is more spin sensitive. This is obvious once you know that vega pro has higher throw and spinnier. Higher throw rubbers are always more spin sensitive.

I've never used Xiom rubbers, but I use Stradivarius with S1 on FH. I like the combination a lot. S1 and Stradivarius seem to go well together.

S1 is more forgiving. Your bad shots with S1 will have better quality.
Vp is more dangerous. Your best shots with Vp is harder to return.

I've got Vega Pro and Vega Europe on my Michael Maze and it's a fun bat to play with.

I'd stick with Vega Pro and Vega Europe, on your Stradiavarius ; if I was you.

Vega's are awesome rubbers. 2 mm Vegas (FH Pro + BH Euro) on MMaze makes it a lot easier to control, and the speed and spin are not that different form the max version.

Acuda S1 is somewhat faster on slower gear, but similar on max speed, but you will loose tons of spin and control.

IMHO both react to spin in a similar way.

If you need friendlier and more forgiving rubber, the other Acudas may be a better fit.

ive tried S1 and vega pro on a stradi and i like vega pro more, it has a higher throw, more spin, more suited for looping, short game is better, S1 is faster and more suited for hitting and its more durability is more or less the same, i mainly loop, i dont hit and smash that much so maybe Vega pro is just more suited for my game, just my opinion though

What is baby oil? Is it smth like this - http://www.germandeli.com/Bbchen-Baby-Oil.html
Effect is that it is softening sponge and works like a booster?

baby oil does nothing but make your rubber heavier. I have never gotten noticeable dome from baby oil.
Both rubbers are quite similar to me. Vega Pro is a little grippier and I find it a little better in short game and opening loop and in soft shots. In high speed counters S1 is a little better because its not so sensitive to incoming spin. But frankly its not important which one you chose, both are pretty good and pretty close. If I must take preference I will go for Vega Pro though.

Vega pro is also nice in opening loops, but to loop or hit the loop with a lot of rotation is difficult, because ball catches in and flys far. Tried on fh, but it seems will put it bh and for fh will try something else(adidas p7 or t05)

Vega pro is a 'nice rubber' it has a comfortable spin game and good control in comparison to the Acuda S1 which is speedier. The Vega pro is better suited to players who like their looping game to be higher arced and controlled, where the S1 is more suited to fast loopers and 3rd ball attackers.

Yesterday switched blades with collegue who had t05. I got more control and more balls on table. Oponent said that spin can be created more from vega pro. It seems that all game depends also on blade. T05 was on hinoki(darker 7p-2a). My vega pro was on xiom solo, which is medium hardness and flexy. On what kind of blades vega pro is working at its best?

Vega Pro is much heavier than acuda s1 so if your blade is not light you should consider that issue.

Acuda S1 all the way. I tried to play Vega Pro in every blade I had and none was satisfying.
For my style, the problem with VP is its higher throw and excessive spin, which makes speed hitting a hard job.
In the other hand S1 is perfect to hit through topspins. I use it in the backhand of one of my combos.

Tried VP on tbs or alc at 1.8mm on BH you will be like it, i tried to replace to another xiom, but back again to VP.
What Seguso wrote was right, just find your right position if you want more power on VP,you wil be love it.
