Well I have to say I absolutely love Tenergy 05 on my Samsonov Alpha and really like it on my Stiga All Around Classic. It's supposed to be poor for the short game (from most everything I've read), but on these blades I love it for the short game. I can vary the spin on my pushes very nicely...causing more misses or pop-ups than before. I find I can drop shots just over the net quite nicely. I don't know if it's the slower blades that makes the difference? The rest of the game is very nice too, plenty of power off the table. I think it's a perfect match for these blades. Anyone else experience the same? Smile
I'd rather be ponging or paddling

I have not tried the blades you have said but i have tried it on my Appelgren All play blade and i agree to your observations in the short game and pushes on a slower blade it worked great for me however at mid distance it felt like i had to give it all on all shots to make them consistently difficult for my opponent to smash through.

What sponge thickness are you using? One of the better players at my club uses 05 2.1 both sides on a Stiga Allround Classic. Plays like an Off set up, good control, loops are loaded.

I played T05FX on an ALL blade and it was very controllable, very easy to put loops on the table. Overall, I preferred my usual setup though because I felt my attacks had lost their usual punch.
