been researching quite a lot and looking for suggestions from you guys these are the rubbers that im interested for my FH : Joola Phenix 48, Tibhar 1Q, Adidas P5 and Joola Rhyzm
now a little of my style i play speed spin kind of game but im looking for aggressive spin, calibra lt spin is good but in slow strokes it didnt produce that much spins in power strokes it is amazing but not all the time im doing power strokes, i want it to be good for fh drives and fh loops doesnt have to be crazy fast but when i hit it i expect the ball to go fast doesnt have to be tenergy spin category but i need the kick of the bounce when looping thanks guys i absolutely love calibra lt plus as bh rubber

I can't speak for Phenix 48 but I currently use Phenix. I would guess, Phenix, being softer, would have more spin than Phenix 48. It is non-tacky and relatively soft. I like Phenix because it has very good linear performance with fantastic speed when striking the ball deep into the sponge. You also have to spin by digging deep into the sponge. I would suggest that Phenix rubber is more applicable to a fast topspin drive type of play as opposed to heavy slow looping.
I just ordered a sheet of Calibra LT spin, so it will be interesting to compare the two. Rhyzm is suppose to be an ESN Tensor rubber, so I would expect it to have different characteristics than Phenix which is a Japanese rubber. I have tried other Tensors (e.g. Joola Express, Rakza) and never have been happy with their non-linear performance characteristics. For me they are far too bouncy with a concomitant loss of control. Hope this helps. BTW, what do you use for glue on your Calibra, if I may ask.

Tibar 1Q is a real sleeper.....wake it up on your blade and be amazed. Real power with real control for mid distance loopers and hitters. My next FH rubber in about 6 months. A higher rated player than myself( 2100) recently switched from T05 to 1Q and he is bonkers about it. It has a medium low throw which may bug some players but overall it is the best power rubber with the best speed/spin/control ratio that I have ever played with. |

@richrf
Donic Vario Clean glue wich works great it if your not going to reglue otherwise it will damage the sponge when you take it off and it will take a good 30min to take it off if you go slowly, calibra lt spin its great a great rubber but i felt that it didnt put much underspin in the push or touch shots but looping and power loops it puts a good amount of spin as well while serving with the right contact btw is the regular version soft or medium?
@frogger man i know its going to be tough to decide since all of these rubbers have great reviews i think its hard to decide and even harder when i havent tried the rubbers and dont know any that have them but im ordering one of those next saturday, when you say its a sleeper and wake it up you mean put it on the blade and be amazed or i have to train hard ??

I would say it is on the softer side, but not nearly as soft as the Tuttle Beijing 4 that I am trying out. So, let's call it medium soft. Thanks for the info on the glue. |

Depend on what you want, you want control, speed, power, defense?
Control - choose an allround rubber and don't go for maximum thickness, 1.7mm is more than enough Speed - choose a hard sponge rubber and go for maximum thickness Power - choose a medium hard rubber and go for maximum thickness Defense - choose a thin sponge rubber around 1.5mm |

Tibar 1Q is a somewhat easy rubber to transition to. Very linear, fast, not as spinny as T05 but I feel easier to play with and there is no surprises like Rakza 7 ( very high throw). If you are a mid level player like most of us mortals here on the forum 1Q will be no problem. If you can play with Calibra you will have no problem with 1Q. I liked it much better than T05, T64, Rakza 7, H3 Neo, Outlaw, and Genius.

have you tried xiom vega pro? it's the rubber for close to table loopers. huge arc and spin, good enough power for fh close to table (and also mid distance if you use a hard blade, like koto hard).

thanks guys for all of your suggestions, right now im looking at the joola rhyzm and adidas p5, i didnt get much insight at the tibhar 1Q and didnt get any video of it playing and as far as i been reading the rhyzm has more spin than the phoenix with almost equal amount of speed, does anyone know the trajectory of any of the rubbers i listed above?
Tibhar 1Q, Joola Phoenix, Joola Rhyzm and Adidas P5 and as far as i read the P5 are for spin based game does that means in will be kind of slow?

I would say that Phenix has a medium-low throw. The main advantage I find that Phenix has over ESN Tensor rubbers is linear performance and control and hopefully durability. I switched rackets with a player yesterday and he played with Phenix while I played with his Vega Europe and Vega Asia yesterday. I found it a very decent setup and while I had no problems adjusting to the Vega setup he couldn't quite figure out how to get the spin out of Phenix. You really have to dig in to the sponge while I think he was use to brush looping. In any case, all of his shots were going into the net, so I told him to let's switch back.

Throw always depends on the stroke. I used to think Phenix was low throw, but there are few rubbers that lift backspin more easily.

I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...

Yes, I agree. There is an adjustment in technique and it takes time to find it. Today I was playing and was easily handling backspin with slow loops but it took a different type of touch (for me it is about touch) and all of this I had to discover. In a couple of weeks I will be comparing it to Calibra LT Spin which is another Japanese rubber. It will be tough getting Phenix off the FH but there is always the backhand!

I will let you know how Calibra feels. But I want relate all of my experiences about Phenix and though I love the rubber, and there is no question that the other player was totally lost using Phenix after playing with the Vega Tensor rubbers. I thought you should be aware of this.
