Is there a site or place that has the wood types and thicknesses for blades?  That would list the type of wood for each ply and the thickness?

The paper catalog that Paddle Palace sends out for free, has all of that information (for the blades they sell -- and they sell a heck of a lot of 'em! Smile).  I refer to that when I have one handy.

This is also an excellent data base from France -- TT Blades Database --

Or if you are looking for blades with a certain wood-ply composition, say for example you like Stiga OC's 'limba-spruce-ayous-spruce-limba' make-up, you can search blades by composition to find other blades with the same wood-ply composition --

and they give blade thickness when they know that value (its not updated for all blades however).

the problem is, the thickness cannot be trusted anyway. I have seen stiga OC ranging from 5.45 to 5.7. same for stiga OCR. xiom fuga ranges from 5.1 to 5.7. and so on.

Go for OSP Expert. Palatinus guarantees a thickness of 5.4 ±0.05mm. Or let them make a blade to your specifications.

You'll be very happy with it, as far as looping performance goes. There are blades, then good blades and then the Expert imho :)
