Hi Everyone,
Anyone who has played with this blade? It seems to be a nice controlled offensive non-composite, pure-wood blade with 6 ply construction by Tibhar. Weighs 85 gs. I would like to have one but before making a final decision, I am interested in your previous experiences with it although it was released only a few months ago. |

Yeah. The Carbon is the other possibility but I guess for me it would be too much of speed for the time being but some time later perhaps. I can't wait to hear your opinion about it. |

im also curious of the effect of having a 6 ply all wood blade. would be faster than a 5 ply but its 1 ply short of being a 7 ply

i thought there was a mistake when i saw 6 ply... i guess they exist. you should check out the Tibhar Stratus Powerwood as well, same construction as the BTY Petr Korbel and a little bit thicker.

Yes, you are right. I've done so. But SPW has got only 5 ply on the other hand Korbel has seven. It may be much faster, I suppose. |

Sorry, Korbel is 5-ply allwood blade... Korbel SK7 is 7-ply allwood blade.
Andro Kinetic ALL+ is 6-ply allwood blade. It is around ALL+/OFF- speed range. |

well, 6-ply likely means that they uses two plies of vertical grain wood as core. Due to the glue the blade will be a bit stiffer than a corresponding 5-ply blade with one core ply.

There is also Texo Allround. The FL handles look superb on these blades.
From the description the Texo OFF sounds similar to the Stratus
Powerwood. Tibhar's own ratings state both blades are rated as OFF- but even though Texo is 6 ply and SPW 5 ply, suggest the SPW is faster:
Texo OFF Speed 8 Control 8+
Stratus Powerwood Speed 9 Control 7+
