I hate this topic & the OP & all the "contributors" here too.....
Now I may have to find a way/an excuse to convince my lady to let me have just 1 more, may be both of these 2 - Runlox-5 & P500 (Made in Sweden, really?) I don't want to end up in that doghouse, again.....

You guys are funny... The similarities between NTK Runlox-5 and AVX P500 are obvious - especially with the older models of P500s that were made under the Nittaku name (see pics below): AVX P500 (By Nittaku):

I really HATE you now, Pondus, who btw has over 400 blades & a diehard pong blades-collector. Make sure that you have enough room in your ______ should that day come & you have to bring all these blades w/ you....

Hi,
...I wonder why nobody mentions the obvious ? As I understand the OP likes TB ZLF (besides the fact that he's looking for more wood, i.e. no composite) - to me the obvious choice would be TB W5 - it's possible to find in the required weight range, you'll have the same handle you're already used to - touch might be a bit more crisp, but you get a bit more flex - speed is quite good for all wood as well. IMHO an underrated blad - a bit expensive though. Compared to Korbel - I like the touch/feel/speed/vibrations(allmost none) ratio much better with W5 Best regards |

Yes also timo boll w5 is a great blade good feel power and sharp. And same handle size and exactly weights around 85 grams.

I know sorry, it is a very rare thing and it would have been too much for the speed glue era...but it works well today, too bad i can't move as well to play mid-distance looping style anymore. yes mine is 98.7 grams extremely rare and it is a looping monster...it is faster then the 7ply clipper woods that i have, and a lot more flex and spring...but it has a huge high arc...hence better for mid-distance looping. with chinese on the forehand it works well close to the table as well...here is a picture, and yes it is in brand new condition  |

yes contracted out made from the same factory and wood, back in the day the Avalox and Nittaku were exactly the same...today the P500 and Runlox 5, Bizelox and AVX BT series...differ in the width of the central or core ply. |

sorry i sold the P500 and only have the Runlox... but the Bizelox has a thicker core versus the Avalox BT 550, thus it is a bit thicker...this is from the ones i had. |

I thought that was the case. My old P500 (oval lens) appears to be about 2mm thinner than my 84g Runlox, but the P500 is both larger (159x151) and heavier (91g). There is more apparent flex to the P500, but the Runlox just does everything so well. Its such a well rounded blade, and it doesn't lack speed, paired with the right rubber. . I was in NYC before Christmas and had a chance to meet and hit a little bit with forum member, 'Chronus' (great guy and strong player, btw :) He was challenged by a local and asked if he could use my Runlox-5. I obliged as he had left his Clipper in storage. He was surprised with the speed of the Runlox, mentioning that the particular set-up was quicker than his Clipper. I had some old tuned Skyline TG3 (blue sponge) on FH. I had trouble hitting the table consistently, so I've since removed it. :) |

Chalk up another for Grubba. I did a multi-ball comparison between the Grubba, TB ZLF and Viscaria yesterday, allowing 20-25 balls in each exercise (hitting, service return, looping, driving, service and smashing). Surprisingly, for all my personal needs, the Grubba topped all categories except hitting. For hitting, I felt ZLF offered the highest control/pace ratio.
