the blade is from the mid 90s, that alone lets the wood get nice and dry, it is also a collector's item...ask other people as well why they pay more for black metal tag blades versus the new silver metal tag...BTY also runs out of certain batches of wood and they still make the same blade but the wood they use is not the same...any blade butterfly makes you want to buy the first couple of runs...that is when you get the best quality wood...after that the name and popularity of a blade helps sell it... have you noticed the TBS, Viscaria, Primorac, Primorac Carbon, Korbel, Gergely, Sardius Old tag prices vs the new silver tag prices...why do you think people pay so much more for a used black tag blade and not get a cheaper brand new one? I encourage you to buy a brand new one and an old one and test them side by side...if you would be blindfolded you would swear they are not the same blade.

so you know the difference in how old they are, from oldest first to youngest (last): even older---gold/black sticker even older---sticker on the back of the handle even older then---red+gold sticker at the botto even older batches---they made black tag older batches---then they introduced black tag with serial number newer batches---then they introduced silver tag with serial number hope this helps, it is not just the quality of the wood, aged wood is hard to replace

Yes...i used to have pictures of BTY blade with all the different types of stickers...But Chinese Real was first made in the period of Black tag no serial number...I am not sure if this is the right thread...i might add it in the equipment or general section so people can look and identify blades made at different times.
right now chinese real has 3 generations that i know:

Instead of having a single thread for each blade you want to sell, it is better if you can consolidate them into a single thread, where multiple items are listed and then updated, until it becomes a bit cumbersome, and then you can start a new thread.

excellent blade! I had one of these a few years ago, and it is amazing. Mine was rather heavy, but the paddle has a tremendous amount of power! Great for mid-distance loops!
