I really miss a 5 ply flexible looping blade with a stiga feel that is not as stiff and hard as a Rosewood but has more power than the offensive wood/OC series. I wish there was something in between these categories in the stiga repertoire. I feel there is a big gap there. Any thoughts/suggestions?

They have a -off blade. The Energy wood. Feels faster than an OC to me?. Others may have a better idea, it is a good blade

DHS HK 655, HH 656 have better Stiga feel and power than the original Stiga. I wonder about the OSP VKing...

thanks for the suggestions. the energy wood and maplewood might be something to look at.
I tried the intensity and it felt extremely hollow and mushy. so many people say its good though, makes me wonder it the one I got was a very crappy one. The infinity didnt get very good reviews and the one I tried was really blend, without character and just a strange feel. Can someone tell me if the maplewood has a hard or a softish feeling? I don/t know what to expect from maple, how hard is it as an outer ply? |

That's exactly, how I would describe the Intensity, that I played last year. I have several old Stiga blades and each of them is much better than this Intensity. So I don't know, if you will find a "dream blade" in the actual Stiga blades. If yes: please tell me ;-) |

I remember, Intensity Carbon was surprisingly very dense. Still I think that the best Stiga Offensive Classic is the last edition of HK 655 with the color WLQ lens on the cap.

My vote would go to Optimum7. Speed is about same as Clipper but it has much more vibration/flexibility.
Or if 5ply is a must. Then you could try Optimum+. Edited by Tommy16 - 03/25/2014 at 1:16pm |

What is the point of playing safe shots when you can miss with style

If you are interested in Stiga Optimum Plus, I have a used one for sell on this forum. I played with it before. It is a bit slow for me. Check out this link. Thanks.

the optimum plus is such a weird blade. Its 5-ply, but its super bouncy, I was unable to keep any puch low with it, alhtough I usually do a pretty good job with most blades. Also pretty stiff, but has quite a nice speed level.
